In SWg they say u have 2 do a quest now but i dont have a clew were 2 find the guy or girl or monster that gives you it i relly want 2 become a jedi....

OK so being a master Smuggler, what you think is good profession to team up with to complete the quest to Jedi? I myself am a Master TK but have been wondering if this would be doable. I also have Novice Pistoleer. Seeing many above 80% kentic resit on the quest would really bum me out.

Hard to say since we don't know what the quests will involve. The devs have said that everyone, no matter their profession, will be able to complete the quests.

If they did not make them balanced quests and only the swordsman/rifleman could compelete them there would be uproar from everyone else. It will probably be several elements including a few limited timed quests which you do so many of. Something like the scavanger hunt or the Acts in the GCW we've had. Maybe you do so many of these get a few certain badges and you unlock. But as the above post said, we don't know what will happen. Maybe they turn around and just throw the quests out of the window and just pick so many random people to become jedi and say yes you did this this and this, therefore you completed the jedi quests.

One thing though I didn't hologrind and I'm damn well not dropping proffessions to make an uber template to unlock.

Why do I get the sinking suspicion thaqt Doc Buffs are going to be nerfed before the jedi quest system is implemented?

You have to have 24 Skill Points for the Force Sensitive Skills, so you'll be able to do it as a Master Smuggler/Master Pistoleer, just not as a Triple Master. I think I saw about 32 Skill Points of Force Sensitive Skills that seem useful to me as a Smuggler, so unless those skills change or don't really do what they seem from discriptions on the trees I saw, I'll probably end up Master Smuggler/Master Pistoleer/TKA(4004) and 32 Skill Points of Force Sensitive Skills.

I'm planning on going ahead with them as soon as they come out. It'll take me forever so I'll need all the time I can get, especially since I plan on doing them again with the second character slot to make my real Jedi.

Heh...I wasn't so much worried about having enough skill points, as I was about having the skills necessary to complete the quests (i.e. - will I be able to kill everything in my way?), since that's what I think the point of the original post was. As a M Smug / M Pistoleer, I know I can deal out lots of damage NOW, but will that be sufficient to get me through the quests after the CB? Only time and revamps will tell...

I'll let you in on a lil' secret-


Master Swordsmen can handle just 'bout anything in the game PvE wise- their forums are packed with lists of things they can defeat. SO if it's defeating a MOB you're worried about I would go there.


In fact I AM going to master Swordsman because my second holo said to and I am having a great time doing it.


NOW if I could just get 15-20 more locked containers I could master the OTHER profession that I really love.

Well, we do have some knowledge of how it's supposed to work, though not enough to plan any templates to deal with it. We know that there will be quests, though not what kind. We also know that during the completion of these quests, you will be learning Force Sensitive Skills.

According to some info given on these skills (that could be in error, mind), they require Jedi XP, so I would imagine the quests give this Jedi XP as rewards.

These skills also reportedly take 1 Skill Point each (Novice and Master boxes take 0), so it may require surrendering skills to get them if you're maxed out on Skill Points (as Triple Masters almost are).

Once you have learned 24 of these skills, your character is then able to continue on the Jedi path. You also open up a second character slot on that server which you can use to make another character to do with as you please. This second character will not be Force Sensitive, so if you want the second character to be your Jedi, you will have to do the Force Sensitive Quests again with the new character. I don't like that part, as I do want my second character to be my Jedi, but we have to do what we have to do.

If anyone has heard anything differently, fill us in.

At any rate, I won't be doing it until after the Smuggler revamp anyway, since my account will expire between now and the time the quests go in, and I'm not planning on resubscribing until after the Smuggler revamp.

Did they put in those quests that regular players can do to get a jedi char yet?
