Thread: New Space Expansion Planets?

Ok Guys my two cents...


Devs said time ago there are continuityproblems with Hoth, Dagobath.


Anyway an Ice Planet similar to Hoth with a lot of frozen land could be added.


(may be the Antive IV from the original Dark Forces Game... do you remember?)



About Coruscant Devs said actually we have tecnical problems to render this


planet in full detail, may be thatCoruscant will be added in the next future may be 1 or 2


years from now, when more powerful videoboard will be avaible.

So based on this I would have to say yes it is a planet. I also doubt that since it is a "forgotten world" we will ever see it in the game. Having said that I would love if they added it!

How on earth can everyone forget Kuat and Sluis Van??? This *is* the space expansion you know? Kuat is the main Imperial shipyard and Sluis Van is the major Rebel shipyard...space expansion...shipyard...makes sense to me! Also, what about the planet of Roon? As described in the Guide to the Star Wars Universe:


"Roon is a mysterious planet surrounded by a belt of moonlets, asteroids, and other cosmic debris. Half of Roon is spectacular, with emerald continents and sapphire oceans. The other half of the planet is dark and cold, trapped in perpetual night.According to spacer legends, its star system (which shares the same name) holds untold treasures"


Wouldn't that be cool? Space battles in the asteroid fields around Roon...treasures...neat scenery...


Another race that has been ignored is the Verpine. They live in the Roche Asteroid Field and are excellent ship builders. I used to play a Verpine engineer in a Star Wars MUD a long time ago. :-) I was Imperial, but the Verpine helped develop the B-Wing with Admiral Ackbar.


Aside from planets, another thing that should be added is SABACC!! How can we call this Star Wars without sabacc? Heck, if sabacc had never existed, Han Solo would have never won the Millennium Falcon from Lando and Luke Skywalker may have never made it off Tatooine before the Imperials locked him away. It's not like the code for a digital sabacc game is hard..we used to have it in Star Wars Combine (and I was a sabacc master, too, mind you). It was a lot of fun and would add more depth to the game's hotels and cantinas. Maybe the holo game that was played on the Millennium Falcon could be added, too? I've seen the boards for it..

All good ideas but Please add dungeons, static citys, theme parks, POI's NPC Quests but no more player cities and no housing allowed. The other planets are ruined enough by the urban sprawl.

Much more of a lurker, but throwing my 2 credits in. I think combine the dungeon idea with the Couscant idea. You have group city adventures that are individualized dungeons with goals. Similar to LDON for EQ. So, you'd get a bunch of peeps, take a "shuttle" or player ship to Coruscant. When there there would be a time based, player centric Urban mini-dungeon. When finished, you can expand to another dungeon connected in theme or shuttle out. I could expand this into 7000000000 pages, no hyperbole here, but you get where I am going, yes?

This has been brought up many a time. There is no way Coruscant can be put in the game. For one thing it is HUGE and the server, and the client could never handle it. Also it would almost have to be imperial only.

Speaking of ice planets, how about Alzoc III ? (and include the Talz and a playable species)


Ryloth would be nice, same with Mon calamari, Ord Mantel, Kessel , and Umgul (slug races!)


Id really like to see Galantos, that would be one hell of a terrain change.

Okay, here I go with my list:


Definites


Coruscant (my personal favorite if you haven't guessed)Sewers for bounties and thug hunts great idea. Maybe make it only 6km across instead of 12 to cut down on lag. A must have, being it is the capital of the galaxy and all.


Ord Mantell would be great. Add Grans as new species. Great variety of cultures and climates. It would make an interesting planet.


Kashyyyk. In my opinion, this would be great if they followed the model in Knights of The Old Republic. Great forest floor hunts.


Any arctic planet with a couple cities, more like Talus than Endor. Perhaps dev created.


Mon Calamari would be a great water world. Be sure to include aquatic vehicles. Underwater Quarren cities too. That is an ultimate must have.


Maybes(save it for next expansion)


Nar Shaddaa. We already have one city planet, and the sewers will make good thug hunts, with other sectors being more seedy.


Bespin. See Nar Shaddaa.


Sullust would be cool, but not a priority.


Chandrilla. Mon Mothma's home planet would be cool.


Kessel. It would be cool, but they'd have to work out more to do than the Kessel run and the prison.


No Ways


Hoth. And I quote Admiral Piett, "but there are no humanoids known to be in the Hoth system, Lord Vader."


Dagobah. Only Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda knew of it. If Vader couldn't find it, a CH with a Graul shouldn't be able to either.

Since we are talking about the space expansion. A great adventure area would be Alderan. You could fly through the debri, and run into other ships that are paying tribute to those who lost their life. This would be space only though, so not really a planet

yeah the ruins of Alderaan would be cool. maybe there could even be a small inhabited chunk of the planet that survived and u could go there.that would be great Cries of Alderaan.

also I think in the Yavin IV area u could fly to a chunk of remains of the deathstar that wasnt fully destroyed and entered orbit around the planet.


Geonosis is a must have. Just think.... malfunctioning battle droids, crashed republic gunships, the huge remains of a destroyed droid ship core ship. The Geonosian Arena where you could find creatures from every single adventure planet, and even some from planets not in the game. There could even be a Geonosian theme park that could take place entirely in the arena fighting increasingly difficult creatures, champion NPCs, ect. This Idea could also result in the addition of new weaponssuch as the battle droid rifle and the Geonosian sonic blaster. There could be lottable skelotons in caves that would have clone armor.Aaaaaaaaaaaand is Count Dooku doesnt die when ep. III comes round he could be there.(just a suggestion, and if one person tries to say thats impossible....:lightsaber

HOTH Need some cold weather for the jackets


Genosis Crimson red rock and deserts.. would be cool I think


Too bad there are no Huge space stations up there.. would be nice to have a diferent atmosphere to shop or explore..

I just want AT LEAST kasshyak (SP)


Make in it levels


-top level where imps and abandoned villages are


Rebels could try to rescue wookie slaves, and imps can try to capture them


by the end of the month, they tally the number of saved/captured wookies and the planet changes a bit


(more stormies, more free wookies, etc.)


-medium level where escaped wookies would hide. fairly hard creatures


-Bottom level where there would be VERY VERY VERY hard critters, almost no NPC's but lots of junk to be found


I think that would be great


Also maybe a Orbital platform for the developed planets where you can land your ship.

Has there been any mention of being able to build/live on the expansion planets? I've tried to look up moe info and have come up with nada. Thoughts, facts?
