You just drop the user.cfg file in the SWG root directory, where all the other .cfg files are located. Also, in my case, I had to start both accounts in windowed mode, cause it would give me a DirectX error if I ran one fullscreen and tried to load the other.

From my experience you only get that error if you have one running, tab out and start the other one and then tab back to the first one before it has started loading the second one. Just give the second instance a few seconds to display the title screen or "Connecting to Galaxy" before you switch back. That way DirectX has had a chance to initialize before you switch to another program that is already using DirectX.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

I've found that having a JTL equipped account really increases the lag. I loaded up a new non-JTLaccount and it had the graphics at the default setting and it was actually running better (it was on a worse computer) than my JTL minimum graphics character.

Might help your performance issues a bit.

Make sure you name the macro ClearCache

Seems like this command is recognized by SWG. Doesnt work in other words

It works. /flushGraphicsResources fullReset works just fine. But its case sensetive. So make sure its

/flushGraphicsResources fullReset

And nothing else.

I have an Athlon XP 1600 with 512 MB of RAM, a RADEON 9600 Pro, and 2 Hard Drives (both at 7200 RPM). Now it may seem unlikely, but I run THREE toons on my machine at the same time. My ping rate is at 60 or less, and I have 2 of my toons running macros while I grind my third toon. How do I do this? Well, it is simple; PAGING. You see, Galaxies is a memory intensive game, and when I mean intensive, I mean really, really intensive. Even if you are using 2 Gigs of RAM, Galaxies will still cause your system to utilize a Swap (or Page) file. These files are almost always on the same drive as your system files. Because of that, terrible lag. Solution - get a second hard drive and place the paging file on it. I guarantee that your lag problem will diminish. Set the minimum at 766 (sometimes higher) and the maximum at like 4096. Also, set the system to be optimized for background services and system cache. Make sure that you turn off all unneccesary services, and make sure that you have no other program running in the background. You can also adjust your TTL and MTU settings in registry to get better packet throughput and more efficient IP handshaking. You don't have to do this, but it will make your connection better if you are running cable or DSL. This will not really help with a 56K modem. It will actually slow you down. Anyway, I tweak systems for a living, and I am an engineer, so trust me, changing where your paging file is, increasing RAM, removing unneccsesary services and programs running in the background, turning off your sound, dumbing down your graphics, and optimizing your network settings (TTL, MTU) is the only real way of cutting back on lag. In fact, I can run 3 toons, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, and Win Amp at the same time, so trust me, it works.

Using /flush GraphicsResources fullReset and moving the pagefile definately help lag
