On "it's not like you can't understand what it means...": Try that logic on your resume when you're applying for a job. You won't get to try it at the job interview, because you won't get the job interview. Just as a resume is the public face of You to An Employer, the attention to detail paid in quest strings is the public face of SOE development and QA to the player.

On the matter of Priorities: Yes, there are more important bugs... but if not one person on the entire dev deam can be bothered to spend 2-3 minutes (check out file, edit file, check file back in) to fix dialog strings that have been broken and /bugreported since release, what hope do you think any of us have that they can be bothered to spend an indeterminate number of hours fixing other broken stuff?

you are overestimating the effectiveness of the word grammar checker... and it'll probably mark all the names and special SW things with red coz it doesn't know it... but those words aren't wrongly spelled, just as a different meaning coz a letter is missing or a letter too much(except enhhance, but cut them some slack... you try to edit all that word perfect...)

What i'm trying to say is that at least it isn't spelled in a 1337 kinda way... like this:

+H1$ 1$ @N 3X4MPL3 0PH 13375p34K!

U N33D 4 1337-5P34K G3N3R4+0R

(I don't feel like writing something in context...) but imagine if they were 1337 d00ds and wrote like that.. or maybe if they wrote it like this:

01010100 01101000 01101001 01110011 00100000 01100111 01100001 01101101 01100101 00100000 01110010 01101111 01100011 01101011 01110011 00101110 00101110 00101110

now that would be fun... or if they just wrote it all in pidgeon(i am not that good at it,) but approx like this:

Ya nidta 'hance yer fpees 'fore ya come 'ere and try ta get tha promo...

ya know... be happy that this is understandable english, don't sit there and diss the game for something this small... go out and diss them for the spawn rates or whatever else that's bugged... most people don't even notice those couple of grammar errors and such... most people PLAY THE GAME, and doesn't go around being english teachers and whining over loosing some xp... (and in DK they won't care how the hell i spell, as long as i got good grades, or just got my exam, serious lack of docs here)...

You could always just /bug it. And move on. Of course don't expect it to actually get fixed but at least you did your part.

SWG is a lot like the Nicotrol System.

With each patch, you're that much closer to quitting.

Actually the real issue here is that little attention is being paid to the details indicating the big bugs are still too numerous to devote proper resources to finding and fixing things like this. I'm not slinging mud here just making an observation. Having developed software for over 20 years now with marketing and sales driving the release dates I know the frustrations the devs go through. It would be so much better/nicer if there was more time. Of course there wouldn't be a paycheck either if there was no product being sold.

And it would be so much nicer if people took the time to learn the language and use it properly. But I'm not that fluent in English either. I've only been speaking it for 45 years.
