Better yet, SOE should gauge the response and go from there.
I think that maybe SOE should look at creating the Boonta Eve race track somewhere, have the ability to purchase pod racers, then have races with cash prizes.
There could even be a gambling system based on it.
Hell, that'd be fantastic.

funny thing is this is the best thing they can think of to keep players from leaving, people don't want to Live in a vitual worl you crack head, they want to fight gain exp and do missions, they want to do stuff that they don't already have to do in Real life.... They want to play........Star wars......not home wars.

If people didnt' want to be in a virtual world, they would be playing Knights of the Old Republic or Jedi Knight instead. Or how do you account for crafters, entertainers, medics...those who DON'T fight?

You are exactly the type of person that hinders this games development. How hard is it to grasp that other people have different joys then yourself? As the poster above me mentioned there are many professions that do not require the use of combat and guess what? People actually use them. I design the insides of homes because I"m an architecture student. I enjoy abstract thought and imagination which decoration easily enjoys. I find this to be fun as well as playing the mayor of my city and simply going out hunting with my in game friends. That is how I want to play.

OMG That's an awesome pod racer. I saw the pics of it at the beginning of this topic and I had to go create a character and go out there myself. Definitely worth a trip over there to check it out. Took screen shots too hehe. Huge props to the guy who made this. I could never have the patience to do this sort of thing. Great job.
