If there is one questionI have seen asked on these forums more than any other (besides when will SWG be fixed?!) it is "How doI make a clickie?"
I am here today to answer that question! It is easy, it is fun, it is simple and useful!
Step 1: Start a new thread or start a replay to an existing thread.
Step 2: Type out your post in it's entirety.
Step 3: in the spot where you want the clickie, you will use the following format:
- clickie
**an important note: you must make sure to type http:// before the link/url, or the clicky will send you to a "Thread Not Found" page on the swg site. I am not sure why this is, possibly because Lithium appears to be an extremely picky forum engine.
Step 5: Make sure any and all editing and spellchecking is completed.
**note: also make sure any words considered "bad" by the forum engine are removed or in some way censored, or else your post may be deleted before you even submit it! sometimes clicking the back button on your browser will retrieve it, and sometimes not. be warned!
Step 6: there is a button at the bottom of the reply box which says "Edit as HTML" click that button, once! It will take a few moments to bring up the edited version of your post. This is a good time to re read the post, making sure any spelling errors are fixed etc.
Step 7: Submit!
But Wait!!! You forgot Step 4!
Step 4 has to do with making the word(s) you want to appear as your clickie a different color, size, or font. It is actualy very simple:
Step 4: To change the color / font / size of the word(s) that will appear as the clickie itself,I find it best to edit / color only that word(s). Example:
- CLICKIE
And that is all there is to it! Good Luck! I will make a few example links in the next post
