You've totally misunderstood the way this works. It operates totally on ui commands, so if you can't do it with a /command, then this set-up won't work.

damn, the secrets out of the bag. i was attempting the challenge given forth through the one thread about your macro. i got as far as realizing to load the log file as an alias file, however, couldn't find most of the other commands, or the proper syntax of their use. i don't think i would have gotten it in the end either. it wasn't a very high level of scripting understanding required, just a huge lack of documentation of the macroing system on SOEs behalf and an uber amount of clever required on behalf of the coder.

url please sir?

if i'm going to bother to try to accomplish such a task, im not going to use information posted by an uncredited forum member which has a high chance of turning out to be inaccurate or unprecise, nor do i wanna try hit and miss methods against the command list given by returning '//'. if i wasn't able to reference official documentation, then i wouldn't put all of my effort towards such a task only to have waste time screwing around trying to find a command with a certain purpose or trying to guess at that commands syntax, i'd rather be aoe kiting the entire krayt graveyard using sl's new movement buff.

my guess would be you spent alot of (rightfully) unnecessary time simply searching the forums and possibly other online resources simply trying to find one command and/or its syntax which is simply alot of gruntwork. however, i don't say that to discredit your work just simply to state where I draw the line as i wouldn't enjoy working towards my goal any longer. i have already and will admit again, your works clever and do deserve a good amount of credit and praise for it.

either way, i still don't see why you decided to backlash at me for a post that gave you praise with comments that are demeaning to your own accomplishment as well.

I'm sorry you interpreted my remarks as a backlash or any sort of flame, that wasn't the intent. The inent was to demonstrate that the code was done with simple commands, most of which are adequately documented in just the name of the command. I'm fairly sure /save_alias and /load_alias were covered at one point in a tuesday tip, though I forget which one. If you go to the doctor forums and look in the "ULTIMATE BUFF MACRO" thread toward the end you will find a link to Tiaga's "Ultimate Buff Timer" thread which details advanced usage of the alias command. While official documentation is sparse, other than the "Ultimate Buff Timer" thread, I found 100% of the documentation I required here on the game guides forum. Again this wasn't intended to be a slam, I'm just pointing out that most people are looking at this too hard, it's far simpler than one would expect. No hidden commands, no secret usage of commands.

Actually while writing this I realized that there were a few undocumented SWG client behaviors that I utilize that I personally observed over the last 2 years, knowledge of which is required to make the system work. I believe these to be undocumented not because they are bugs or unintended behavior, but because they're things that the designer didn't think anybody would ever really care about. As a matter of fact I KNOW they're not bugs because several times patches would break these features, along with other things, but they would always be patched back later to work as previously. Also there used to be a way to break these features using certain tricks, however recent patches have made these tricks unusable, with these features always working. I wouldn't be supprised if I was one of a very few number of people to know of these behaviors, since they only manifest themselves under specific (but important) situations. As they involve aliases, and few people use aliases, much less aliases called from macros, much less be trying to recall previous chat commands while running a macro that calls aliases. Basically you have to run a recursive macro that has a rapid recursion rate, that calls one or more aliases, and know of and use the previous chat history command on a routine basis to correct typos. Once this behavior is observed, certain /ui action commands suddenly exhibit a whole new possible functionality.

Actually from the reports I've recieved from the test centers, while the specifics of this macro won't work, the general principle still will, and witha bit of simple reconfiguring the commands and delays, this macro could be used to power post "NGE" doc bots. While the macro can't right click, it can still do /command name, which reportedly still works. I assume /attack name works as well, which means this macro could fuel combat bots as well.

I dunno

I had a looping macro running and found out that /dump no longer works.
That sucked. I had to edit it to take the loop out just to stop it.

Alot of my macro don't do what they used to.

I guess that will be part of the fun of the new game.

Seeing how we can manipulate it.

It was /dumpP in ToOW Beta. Maybe they were planning some other /dump command???
