I have:
Nym,
Jabba,
Imperial Themepark
2 warren badges
12 proffesion badges
Some other badges like theed lib etc.
over 40 explorer badges (all jedi and difficult) and I'm surging, according to this guide I should be glowing right? Oh well, I'll be getting all the POI badges and see what happens.

It doesnt need to be an elite profession. I only had master Artisan and I got glowy.

Well I think it's safe to say that the Jedi POIs are required.
I had:
-12 Profession Badges (4 were holo profs)
-Temple of Exar Kun POI Badge
-Ben Kenobi's Home POI Badge
-30 Assorted Other POIs including all of the 'difficult' ones
-2 Warren Badges
-Rebel Themepark Badge
-Nym's Themepark Badge
-Jabba's Themepark Badge
And I was still getting the "faint" message from /check. (i know, it's bugged)
Went to the Jedi Temple Ruins on Dant, and *POOF* my /check message went up to "You feel an inner glow. The Force is with you."
Now I'm excited and waiting for the Old Guy...hope he shows up soon.

First I wanna thank Tess for this guide.
Just logged off: I'm Glowy! =D
Iread the part where the guide says you can have 10 POIs; w/1-3 jedi POIs. I had already gotten more than 10 easy and difficult location POIs and
2 of the Jedi POIs: Temple of Exar Kun and Ben's Old house.
I had 3 content badges: Nym's Theme Park, and both of the Warren badges. (went to warren for corvette ticket)
My /check was faint
Thinking that the only thing I needed was 2 more content badges, I finished up Rebel theme park and had to spend a few hours killing valarians for Jabba Faction. Finally I finished the Jabba Theme Park and was still only /check Surge. I thought I had done something wrong. Decided to try for the last Jedi POI: Ruined Jedi Temple. I stepped on the platform of the ruins and became glowy!
I'm thinking that all 3 jedi POIs are required for glowiness.
All in all, thanks again to Tess for the guide.

Speaking of the "Old Man", how will we know him when we see him? How do we spot him if we're in a crowded area or fighting or something? What color is his mark on the radar? White, Yellow, Pink, Purple, ect.? Does he pop up right in front of you? Does he say anything to you first or do you initiate contact?

How do I get the badge for the Jedi Temple Ruins on Dantooine? I crossed over the waypoint from the POI Section of the data pad, completed all missions from the Dark Jedi and the Light Jedi inside the caves behind the waterfall. What am I missing?

Old man doesnt even show up on your radar. He shows up as a white dot on your overlay map. (Ctrl-M). Just walk everywhere until he shows up...like all spawn he can take abit to load, and on a speeder as you zip along he can spawn behind you and you could potentially miss him.

Just run up the steps to the ruins until you get the badge - no missions required.

I believe he'll keep trying untill you talk to him but he wears a long coat and is bald I believe. When he found me he was running toward me and said my name in Spacial and that he need to talk to me. He showed up right after I shuttled into a player city. I also saw one that someone missed at a starport port on Dath so he will show in some starports. Hope this helps.
