Thread: Equality for factions / not getting ripped off in a quest

Rebels and Imperial Aliens do not get equality. Rebels are terrorists with limited funding and we'd rather use our Imperial aliens as workers/slaves/gun fodder.

OK... lets talk about faction equality. To name a few cool things:
Imps Get
1. Imp prototype PSG (On par with standard PSGs)
2. Endor Painting (worthless)
3. Lytus Family Artifact (neat. Completely worthless)
4. Stormtrooper armour (canon)
5. AT-AT suit (with HELMET)(canon)
6. TIE suit (with HELMET)(canon)
7. AT-ST (worthless)
8. Imp Banner (virtually impossible to obtain in a election that allows Rebels and Neutrals to vote)
9. Imp Command Hat(yes I know they took it out, but people still have them on display) (worthless)
Rebs Get
1. Rebel Banner (Themepark perk. Imperials can't offset and prevent you from getting yours.)
2. Wierd (non-canon)armour that SPYNET OPS AND MEATLUMPSWEAR!!!!!!! (It is canon, it is Mon Calamari armour worn in RotJ)
3. B-wing flightsuit (NO HELMET!) (Who wants to bet it will be in the space expansion?)
4. X-wing Flightsuit(Craftable, but NO HELMET!) (Who wants to bet it will be in the space expansion?)
5. NO REBEL ENSIGN HELMET (Who wants to bet it will be in the space expansion?)
Please don't knock our banner... its all we got!
If you think this is a flame, then it is. However, your argument isn't pointing out all the aspects of the equality problem.
worthless? try buying those things. And im pretty sure you can use the at to group with and get 30k missions all by yourself. But that would be tricky. Also imp psg's have like 3-4x the hitpoints dont they?

I wouldn't try buying any of those things...they're just worthless junk. AT-STs can bump up missions but you also run the risk of losing it everytime you decide to take more missions. And I can't speak for all IPSGs out there, but mine doesn't have 3-4x the HPs...and it still "shifts" when I cross server boundries more often than not.

Switch around the loot tables, make them purchasable for both sides for faction points, whatever. I don't care, I just want an Imperial banner that I've waited an excruciatingly long time to get and deserve for beign a loyal Imperial.

Speaking as a Rebel, I'd be more than happy with that. BTW, I agree that it would make sense for the Imperial bannerto be more common ... butthis is the same game where it's impossible to make an ordinaryrug without having to slaughter a number of people equivalent to the population of Belgium to lootbits of threadand glue off their corpses (*pant* rant over).

The problem is, you don't have Imperials and neutrals preventing you from getting your banner. If you want to get technical, the rebel banner should be harder to get than the Imperial banner, simply because no rebel in their right mind would ever display their faction loyalty in such a bold way, as it would bring unwanted attention from the Empire.
I'm fine with rebels in game having a fairly easy way of getting their banner, but the Imperials should also have a farily easy way to get their banner. And I'm all for them adding helmets to the flightsuits and adding a rebel ensign helmet, as well. So, maybe we can strike a collective bargain: You rebels push for Imps to get our banners, and us Imps will push for you rebels to get your helmets. Deal?

At least your server got victor to win, this was chilastras 4th or 5th, and sean has won every one so far.
It was supper hard, I /telled dozens of people to get them to vote for Victor and had them tell others. WE worked hard for this and I hope that I get my banner or I am so launching a formal protest with SOE.

How about this...
There's rebels on Starsider who got the Imperial banner for votingfor victor and are auction them for millions of credits
How's that for fair?
ya you already said that. Imps do the same thing. stop comparing cause it instigates the wrong argument.
you should only be arguing about continuity. Why would you ever want to start a "but you get this, and i want that" argument.
if you think imps should have easy access to their flags then say so, and say why. Dont, however, say you should have easy access to your flag just because rebs have easy access to theirs. That just instigates, especially because of all the unmeasurable perks to both sides.

Imperials should have easy access to the Imperial banner, because the Empire would want to promote itself and want it's soldiers and officers to have and display their banners proudly to keep up morale and loyalty to their organization. As an Imperial, one would likely want to hang their banner proudly to show their proudness of their offiliation, which the Empire would want. The Empire would also want their banner displayed as much as possible as it would act as propaganda to show how far spread it's influence throughout the galaxy is.
However on the flip side, Rebels may be proud of their faction, but displaying it so freely is almost like signing your own death warrant. The rebels are suppose to be in hiding and be covert, not showing off who they support and where they are. Leia Organa denied being rebelsupporter for some time when she was captured, to avoid being tortured and forced to release important Rebel tactical information. Simply put, a rebel should be weary of displaying their faction's banner as it is considered treason to the Empire and grounds for imprisonment or worse by the Empire if it is found in possesion of something showing their support for the Rebel faction.
