Thread: Healing Exploits: Tumbling, War Cry and Pet Tricks

Have you tried mastering doctor without tumbling?
Try it sometime. Tell me what you think. In 8 months time, once you've finally reached master, let me know how much fun you had.
No, but I have mastered Bounty Hunter without buffing, wearing armor, ridinga mount or vehicle, or being reliably certain my mark would actually spawn. And thousands actually have mastered Doctor without a tumbler.

Its rather sad that with so many replies none of you have quite seen the problem for what it is.
You denounce players for using it, you hate that people don't use other methods, but you still fail to see that its the devs creating mindless systems in the first place that make players want to take shortcuts.

It is not the devs that cause people to use exploits. If the devs created a fun and exciting way to make master doc in 1 hour. Once someone figured out an exploit to do in 55 minutes, then the exploiters would be doing it in 55 minutes, even if it was less fun and excitiing.
The issue is the people who will cheat and try to blame the devs.
Except that the Devs have already said tumbling is not an exploit, thus the basis of your argument is non-existant.
And YES, it is the devs who make every system of xp into a mindlessly repetitive grind fest.
For example, they can take a note from other MMOs that reward xp gained through quests rather than just killing mobs. Like DAoC, AOand WoW, both of those MMOs use quest-based xp that is BETTER than regular xp so players are naturally encouraged to do so. And believe it or not, quest based xp is actually kinda fun.
Side note: When talking about DAoC I meant the tasks for the first 20 levels or so.

It's a pet hate of mine really, it doesnt ruin the asthetics of the game like some of the other problems people moan about, this is purely game play. It's an exploit, people huddle around in a med cenetre and master medic in a few hours, and then with the addition of the new jedi trials you now find the village always has someone using one of the mentioned exploits and doctors crowding round them. after all they can hold so little xp compared with other classes, its hardly worth them leaving dathomire as by the time they are back on corronet they have maxed out their XP and are ready to go back and cash it in.
People will always find exploits and shortcuts, im terrible for it, but if these affect game balance its the devs job to find a way to stop it happening.
I don't know why people do it. Either ones. The tumblers have nothing better to do? I saw someone asking for tumblers though 60k for 30 mins. When I needed healing xp I went to the Cantina. Lots of people there using action left and right. Plus they really enjoy the heals I know I did. Also the chat in the cantina is welcome instead of some of the mindles tumble monkeys. Do most of the people using the tumblers actually tip them as they request or just stiff them like a lot of people do some of the AFK buffers?
