Honestly, I think there should be a way to hide all HUD, so you can take better screenshots and such.

I think with both of those I'd be getting surprise incaps.
Both look useful though.
What resolution do you all play in? I set mine to 1600x1280 (I think thats what it is) and you get a lot more area for the game.
I see lots of special moves on the toolbar on most peoples HUD's, does anyone else use modal chat and macros bound to keys?
Also, anyone tried increasing the text size? And how about damage number size? I have mine set to huge so I can see how much damage I'm actually hitting for.

You seem to rely a lot on F Keys for a seasoned PvP'er, must make it quite fiddly to control your toon... I only use F Keys to get to my chef buffs, the rest of my macros are bound to my keyboard. Embrace Modal Chat!
When did I say that I was a "seasoned" PvPer? I'm rather lame at PvP, but I know some good tips about setting up GUIs for it. I like your idea about keyboard remapping though, it never occurred to me.

I assumed from your bullet points you were refering to PvP, seems I assumed to much.
I see from the Chim board you've just come back to SWG, welcome back... and have a try with modal chat... it makes the game a lot easier to play, although a lot of players find it over complicated.

Naw, those pointers were just how to use the interface as effectively as possible (PvE or PvP). No style, all substance.
I'm going to give the game a shot in modal chat too, thanks for the tip.

2, 3, 4 and 5 are spot on.
But for healers, medics, CM's and docs, they need the group bar displayed in a readable way.
1 and 7 you can just use macros for.
I especially agree with having the radar set quite big... with the CON option on. As you say, it certainly is a lifesaver.

A very valid point.

I've found that properly coded macros can help a lot, but this one is really down to personal preference more than anything.

Amen to that.
Some of us should get together and write "the ultimate hud guide" lmao.

Well, I adjust the radar by resizing it from the corner so it's a bit bigger and change the range from 64 to 128 by clicking on the little + near it.
And some other stuff...

People say I have a pretty crazy HUD, so I figure I would share:

If you want multiple windows just take a tab and drag it out to a new place. To add more tabs in either the old or new window right click in the tab area of what window and you will get a menu with add tab/delete tab/join chat channel etc.
