I really like this idea, it gives a goal to those who don't want to be jedi. I think it is pretty sweet, it would add more content plus some cool named professions. Plus it would promote picking a template and staying with it, instead of just mastering one getting bored and mastering something else. Nice idea!

This idea has been floating around for a while now, and in my opinion it is truly amazing. The major focus of this game for most peoplehas shifted to obtaining a jedi and if some sort of system like you mentioned was introduced into the game the results would be great. The psychology is simple... currently, a lot of people feel they need to become jedi in order to maintain a fun gaming experience (ie. being powerful). If there were alternate pathways that offered similar benefits to a character's strength but took less time and were less tedious, they would become much more attractive to the people who play this game. If you want some sort of jedi control added to swg, look no further than this.I hope to see a massive show of support for this idea and hopefully the devs will begin to listen

couldn't agree more! about time we (the non-Jedi grinders, and fans of the TRUE star wars story) get something, equally fun, but slightly less powerful then Jedi. But why slightly-less powered you might ask? Well, I don't know that, and I feel that a master elite-elite should be able to kill a Jedi, after all, Jedi's are NOT invincible...

ive had an idea similar to this...

im a pikeman so ill use pikeman as the example once u master the pikeman proffession u choose to continue on in pikeman...

once u master pikeman u can start going on the (insert cool name here) proffession you would not recive a badge for this proffession you would just earn new pikeman skills and moves as you advance in this advanced pikeman skill. also there could be some weapon certifications here for some of the elite weapons that (hopefully) come out wit the CU.

of course this could be applied to any proffession

Adding new layers of content is always welcome, especially when it comes to professions. We need something more to strive for after we master something!

Obi-Wan: Really? I trained the man who killed him...
The Emperor: Live Lord Vader. Live, my apprentice. Live...
Amidala: There is still good in him...
