i just did this quets on radiant with a friend, he turned in the commander and got the crystal and the skill unlocked, but i didn't get the crystal or so much as a pat on the back?? is this bugged? cus i want one of those mind buff crystals

U all know that all these bases names are letter from the greek alphabet .... Cool that means siths are Greek !?!?!?!?!?!?!

One other important tip! Do not get to far away from commander if you are the one who captured him. He may take poison and die. You then have to do the mission over.

Couple Questions:
I got the iota controller and stumbled across the base before getting the WP disk. There were sith outside and a block turret inside, and using the remote gave me the message that the shield had already been shut down. Can the bases any be done once per day? If not, how long does the respawn take? We were there for quite a while while waiting for something tochange.
While we were waiting, we killed some sith and looted a WP disk. I just took it back to the captain, and got a completely different WP from the one where I knew iota base was at. I haven't checked it yet. Do I have to go there, or should I stick with the one with the iota droids outside?

I'm not sure about the respawn rate, but if you don't have any patience you can always go check it out> This is what I did.
I just hunted Siths, after about getting 10 freq disk I turned the all in along with some WP disk, this way theres a higher chance of the WPs matching theremote 
P.S. It seems that after server reset the base will stay where they are but the name of the base will change, like today it was Gamma tommorow its Delta, but it doesn't always change sometimes it does. Can anyone comfirm this?

heh, I made the same mistake.....Looking through this, and seeing how hard the quest is, I'm now glad I did make the error and spoke to the wrong person.

Ah, i see, i thought it was set that each person could do only one base, didn't realize you could get multiple remotes.
Is there a way to tell if a base is functional? I've sometimes seen them where they have a wall and two block turrets outside. If the wall still remains, would that be a strong indication that the base hasn't been used yet?

When I did this quest I found a base, but there was no turrets, I was still able to shut down the Shield even though the turrets was down before. Hopw this answer you question.

Right beside the Commander, because sometimes the guy on foot might get too far ahead, so the biker needs to be very close to him, I was a biker and I just /follow him.
