acutally there is.
Pilot XP is ridculously easy to get and stockpile on. The amount of XP Jedi's would be getting is sick, and would only further aggrivate how common jedi are at all skill levels.
Okay, and combat xp isn't easy to get and stockpile on, with an inventory and backpack full of grenades? Not a good argument, friend.
What about the person like "moi", who is Master Artisan, Master Droid Engineer, and Master Shipwright? That's 203 sps right there. Add 15 just so I can heal my sorry little toosh when I get attacked by durnies and gnorts running harvies.. 218. Then the rest goes into Merchant, to TRY and sell some of the droids and ships and ship components to people!
There's not enough points to be able to get master merchant, even if I drop Novice Medic, so will always be limited on number of vendors, amount of items on vendors, etc.
But that's neither here nor there....... the point is, how do I get FS points? I've done the crafting mastery Novice now, and opened one box there........ but am not skilled enough (make that not skilled AT ALL) in any combat roles to do anything else. So getting a few thousand fs points off of piloting advancement would be welcome to me.
And a lot of others in my same or similar situation, I'm sure.
But that's just my opinion, and Hey! I could be wrong! -- Dennis Miller

Then make conversion 200:1 or something like that. Anything would be better than nothing

Have you spent much time in space? Master a pilot profession yet? You have any idea how fast pilot XP and/or prestigue exp is obtained? Once you master, Its in the millions, and thats just playing casually.

Words alone do not fully describe how strongly i disagree with this.
The most beautiful thing about JTL is how successful you are, depends on YOUR skill, You the pilot, you the guy with one hand on the joystick.
If one want's to feel "the force" in space, i suggest you look inward to find that moment of pure concentration that allows you to suceed when you might otherwise fail.
Skill JTL, is not and should not EVER be determined by who ground the most professions for the j3d3y3 insta win buttons.

Someone hasnt read the FAQ in the Force Sensitive forum have they!.....
No you cant convert Pilot (or Shipwright for that matter) xp into any force xp
No one ever asked if you could or not. We all already know you can't.
The point of this thread is, "Gee, wouldn't it be nice if you could?"
Thanks for answering a question that was never asked, though....
Ok then how about this....
Because it would be unfair to those that did not have JTL (since that seems to be comment of the moment regarding the 75K cash payout to JTL players)
Everyone who says it's too easy... with the right conversion rate it wouldn't be easier than ground XP conversion. I even wouldn't mind it being slower, everything is better than nothing as someone else already said.
Everyone who says it would be unfair to those who don't have JtL... it wouldn't cause you can either be in space or on the ground, you can gather prestige points or ground xp during a given time, not both.
It would just be another way of getting closer to Jedi, not the way, nor easier.
I don't see a valid point against it.

Actually, there is. One of the points to having only ground combat xp be transfered to FS xp is that the end result (jedi) is a ground only profession (not in that they cannot fly, but up there, they are no better than anyone else). How are you going to learn how to survive on the ground (in fact, how are you even going to complete your missions), if you've never spent any time in a proper combat profession?
Yeah i am sure luke would see it that way, the force is for your on the ground fights like in the first movie episode 4.
