No you are not supposed to get more than one, there is a chance of getting multiple items when you loot a creature. But since the new patch (patch 12, came out thursday), many many people on different galaxies have been posting that Geo's are only dropping loot in set of 1.
Also a documented bug is that creature loot was non-existant(krayt, gorax,aklay,also rancors), but I read a post earlier today by someone stating they had looted a krayt. Maybe they hotfixed part of it, maybe not.
Best bet is to continue to bug it in-game and communicate calmly while they track down the cause of this.

for one cubes and pastes are not Always dropping in volumes of one. i've only looted cubes and paste in volumes of one a few times.. so it's not bugged.. your just unlucky. also they are not completley worthless if you get only one. there are other weapons that you can use that one on to enhance it. tho it seems to be an ongoing whine fest of players that don't get exactly what they want in loot saying that the system is bugged.

Yeah sounds bugged to me, if it is then im pretty sure its already fixed on TC, i was looting decent runs of components 7 yellow cubes etc, the ackly dropped some hide and the firespider dropped some venom.

ahh.. no one said this was recent. my apoligies to anyone on this thread then. i've just been hearing for the past couple months from people that it's bugged because they can't loot uber cubes or they get tech kits or less cubes than what they need..

in the past couple days i been looting just 1 rifle barrel or whatever that crap is off some npcs on lok. out of about 15 times i looted the crafting part, i only got 1 set that was more then 1.

I just finished playing and looteda set of 4 blasterrifle barrels orsomething or other from Lok guys and then another set of 4 of those and then a set of 3 projectile rifle barrels. They were all crap and a master WS could make better, but it kind of shuts out the theory that nothing drops more than one of each loot.

Probably all due to phase 3.... anyone ever notice the loot dropping from the siths?

i was out rancor hunting on dath last night(on eclipse) i looted plenty of rancor hides, bile and padded segments. I also killed an NS spellweaver and 12 same serial NS armor shards.
later on i killed an NS protector and looted 6 same serial NS armor layers.
i've also looted more brack plates than i know what to do with.
so if it is a bug it localised to the geo cave. i remeber see'ing a couple of publishes back that there was fix for the geo cave spawns maybe this had an impact on the loot table.

Ignore jagbar, the Genosian cave is DEFINITELY BUGGED NOW. Loot drops have become singles for cubes and acklay rarely drops. I can now attest to a string of 11 EMPTIES CONSECUTIVELY IN 2 WEEKS. The cave is a crock of sh&t. Ironically genosian sonic blaster schems have started dropping when they have beeneffectively missing from the lot tables for months.
Looking forward to a fix and GDK scales dropping more regularly.
