BTW might wanna warn you... i hard some Mokk Warriors paid some Meatlump Fools to go and put a hit on you becoz they felt more hunters would come for their tapes after they read your post...

Nice post...pity the devs couldnt explain this mess a while back, people have wasted a lot of time and money on non working tapes.

A great bit of information but we shouldn't have to jump though these hoops in order to get our useable loot items to work, plus we're not really getting them to work, only part of them.
I'm going to have to think hard and long if I try this in order to get my +14 armour assembly, +22 pistol accuracy while moving, +18 weapon experimentation SEA to give me just the weapon experimentation modifier. It would be great if SOE would fix them instead.

Thank good for this post. I am bidding on a cloth tape and it has pistol accuracy and droid traking with both +6. And to boot the pistol accuracy is listed first. As I read here the droid tracking is the controlling factor.

Where exactly do aer people getting these +25 tapes? about 7 months ago i looted a +5 dodge tape nad a few weeks ago i looted a +2 ranged defense attacthment. Other than those all ive ever found has been +1, no where near any 25's.

The drop rate on those is extremely low. And it's been much much lower after around the second month of the game. Exar Kun can drop pretty high ones, just have to kill him a 100 or 200 times to get one, maybe. Also Dark Jedi Knights are know to have some of the best tape/stat enhanced clothing drops again have to kill hundreds to get a chance at above 10 really. Nightsisters in general have the best loot also.

Is there somewhere that jedi knights and Exar Kun can be found? I thought Exar Kun was the temple at the end of the rebel themepark

To make sure I understand you correctly. If I have two armor attachments with +4 and +5 dodge and place them both on an item with 2 sockets then only the +5 will be counted. What happens if i place the +4 on one item and the +5 on aseparate pieces of armor. Will they then stack and give me +9 dodge?

Yes as I understand it the Droid Tracking would stick unless you do some tricks as listed above. Is the Pistol Accuracy actually listed first on the tape?
