I found this works better with one of the amores. Not sure which, but I noticed it didnt kick me out of the "inventory" screen at all when I used this trick with one.
There is a somewhat similar bug going on withselling items on a vendor from a backpack. If you forget to go up a level from the backpack yousell from, then next time yousell to a vendor, it defaults to the backpack, EVEN IF YOU NO LONGER HAVE IT IN YOUR INVENTORY!
Here's the wierd part- lets say you drop that backpack, or sellthe backpack itself. Well, you're sol! Cant sell again till server up. Buuuuut... if you place the pack in your bank, it allows you to go "up" one level to your bank safety deposit?!still not allowing you to sell from inventory, but it is an interesting way to move items from your bank to your vendor.
Ming you, I wouldnt trust it, and if you lost the backpack somewhere (traded to another for examnple), you are fairly stuck. Odd fun though.

But if a Dev couldn't get my item, I have little hope this will help me now, but I will give it a shot.
