True but untrue. My AV-21 decays so much less, -8 or -16, while my swoop is really high, -25 or -50. I havn't had to even repair my AV-21, which is a really nice feature. Only bad thing is I rarley use it cause its expensive, and risks getting blown up if I'm overt.

I own a av-21, a friend and i was driving through lok and he couldnt keep up with me at all on his swoop, through flat or rocky terrain i was always pullin farther ahead of him.

Give me a Swoop, I'll catch ya' over any distance around 700m or greaternine out of ten times. You can get creative with zig-zagging the swoop as someone said earlier.
The superior condition, wear and tear dynamics and the "floating grandpa Caddy" style maybe what gives the AV-21 it's pizazz for some. But until most folks can get one, I'd only use it to show off a bit here and there if you like to engage in that. Speed is still speed and the Swoop wins, any which way you cut it.

AV21 better terrain negotiation. Other than that I think it handles like a cadillac with no pwer sterring and a bad alignment.

I love my AV-21, but it does make me nervous driving it sometimes due to its rarity. I repeatedly did the neutral corvette destroy mission to get power plants and I got 2 back to back in two trips up about a month ago. I've gone up about 10 times since and never found another power plant(and I always go up alone, so it's not that other people are looting them before me). The AV-21 is incredibly durable and the speed and hill climbing is nice, but I'd have to say that it's more of a status symbol than anything. It's like the difference between a Honda and a Lexus. The same car, but one has that luxury name on it.

I was on Yavin the other day, fighting some Black Suns. All of a Sudden, an Assassin decided to waste my AV-21 instead of killing me... I killed him in time to save thevehicle (almost destroyed, 6K to repair it), I'll never use it on Yavin-Dath again.

well nice little necro. hahah. but i have done these same field tests, but now, i have been able to test a rather new toy of mine: the jetpack. Just FYI, the jetpack > all. Its as quick as the av21 and the swoop if not a little faster. Also, no terrain negotiation problems. Go up a hill just as fast as the av21. Also, the jetpack will fly over many rocks and tree stumps. Now the only problem is, i will never call the jetpack while hunting on endor or dath. or yavin. Too much risk. lol

They seriously need to add a "full repair" option to garages.
I mean, this is a game where your spaceship can be blown into fragments the size of a postage stamp and completely reconstructed from nothing...but the technological equivalent of a car can't be mended if destroyed - the parts can be THAT hard to find....
Make it expensive to dissuade X34/Speeder/Swoop users (since it SHOULD be cheaper to buy new vs. repair old to give the Artisans a more stable product), but people with jetpacks and AV-21s shouldn't have to FEAR their premium vehicles are going to be destroyed for good by an errant AOE attack.
