It does not destroy the loot, it merely puts it back into the creature.

Use the radial Loot option (not Loot All) to manually retrieve the items after you clear up some inventory space.

I think Krayts are a special case in this situation - notice how long their corpses remain after harvesting. It's a good idea to loot before harvesting because the dead ones seem to despawn real quick.

These are the sorts of tips people should be seeing during their loading screens.

Perhaps something to think about - loading screen tips based on your chosen profession(s).

Anyhow, this is just a fantastic tip.

Thankyou.

As far as I know, these commands actually perform the effects at the different skill levels that they existed at, as you went up the branches.

In other words (Or proper English as opposed to above) When you first get dazzle, it looks like dazzle1, then as you go up the Tech Branch, dazzle changes and looks like dazzle2 and finally dazzle3.

So by putting the numbers into the command, it allows you to perform the different styles that you had throughout your climb up the profession (Assuming you've already earned them).

This is nice, because some people might like some of the earlier (Lower-level) effects better than the later ones.

It's also nice to perform some of them in stages, one after the other (from 1-3).

Another Musician Tip...

"/bandflo 1 nalargon" will make any nalargon in the band perform flourish 1 without triggering a bandflourish for any other instrument in the band.

"/bandflo 1 nalargon; /bandflo 4 chidi; /bandflo 8 bandfill" would have each of those mentioned instruments perform the individually designated flourishes... all at the same time if you put the command in like that.

Using those commands, you can create macros where you basically compose a certain song, controlling each instrument's flourishes for your entire band to play.
Of course, playing live and improvising with manual flourishing between musicians is a lot of fun. (Server-side timing makes this unpredictable at best, but the times things do go well and the timing of the flourishes are performed by the different players at the same instances... makes it all the more worthwhile)

Just remember... if you hit a bum-note... in the end, it's all jazz

Oh and TH...

Thanks for putting up an Entertainer Tip... nice to be mentioned by red names (Although nudge SOE Tyrant for slipping passed the deadline for our "exciting" new features announcement).

Our Corrs have been nice enough to let us know why there is a delay, but it'd be nicer to see a red name tell us there is a delay before the deadline passed and maybe even mention what type of feature/changes you're all discussing.

My fellow entertainer friends are anxiously awaiting word, and our Corrs are probably having fits from holding thier tongues.

So, just a nudging reminder to you people over there... we're waiting!

Be thankful it's only me here... and not a certain wookiee... I don't pull arms off.

Oh and TH... that new announcement is pure evil, haha.
By "soon", I hope you mean within minutes, otherwise many heads will explode (non-violently)!

Yes this is a little known feature, but I try to let people know whenever it comes up. I think that the title of the tip is very misleading though. As was mentioned, the change is just doing the different levels of the effect you worked through. Yes smokebomb and distract change color, however they are dance specific effects. Dazzle does change color from 1 to 2, but then again dazzle 1 and 2 are basically different effects.

Do note that the lower (more basic) versions, ie the 1's, cost less action than the higher level 3's.

I wish they were easier to execute than typing them. I mean, I have set up macros so I have buttons for each one, but that is 14 one line macros just to have buttons (4 each music and dance and 6 shared). On a toolbar its 21 buttons!

I wonder why they didn't get their own buttons. Combat professions get buttons for each of their variants of their specials (eg bodyshot 1, 2, 3). Well its not that they cost the same action. How often do combat professions go back to the lower specials.....less often than we would. It must be so that cycle up the levels with just the one command.

Thanks for publishing the tip!

It is possible for Musicians and Dancers to change the color of their special effects (skill tree 4/0/0/0 in each profession). To do soyou can activate any of the abilities listed below - - provided the necessary requirements are met- - with a 1, 2 or 3 as an added parameter. This will change the color/style or general flare of the special effect.
For Example: instead of typing /dazzle, type /dazzle 3
The following abilities can have different colors:
Dancer:

/colorlights
/dazzle
/spotlight
/distract
/smokebomb
Musician:
/colorlights
/dazzle
/spotlight
/firejet
/ventriloquism

Check out last week's tips

Another note...

Your example of "instead of typing '/dazzle' type '/dazzle 3'" is not a very good example. The way the effects are coded if one has the skill to do "/dazzle 3" then when they type "/dazzle" it will do a dazzle 3 and there will be no difference. If one does not have the skill to do it then "/dazzle" will do the highest level they can do and the "/dazzle 3" will error.

Related to this, since the base command without parameter always does the highest level you never really need to do the 3 variant. If you have the skill for dazzle 3 then just "/dazzle" for 3 and do "dazzle 1" and "/dazzle 2" for the other 2 variants.

I do not think that the upgrades are noted in the skill trees, but I recall that the Tech box that gives you the skill gives you the #1 and each of the next 2 boxes up give you the 2 and 3 respectively. For one skill I think the 3 only hits at master.....well 2, one music and one dance. Ventriloquism and smokebomb.

I have a "Wednesday" tip for SOE, they should release information about their future updates before websites such as "pc.ign.com" reveal everything and then creates higher expectations that I know will not be lived up to.

I just hit a bunch of buttons and hope everything works out.

As we are talking Entertainers I will bring this up not a tip as much as a reminder.

If you need to find a Hotel or Cantine with a Musician or dancer init bring up you planet map (Cntl+V) and look at Hotels or canitines you will see Suns amd moons if it's a sun someone has registerd there and entertaining now. If it's a moon no one has registured, someone might be there someone might not.

Entertainers rember to register, I have a macro to start playing that will sign me in and get me playing.

Fighters remebr to look there might be a place to get your self healed closer than think.
