You are right, you will get flamed. That was a stupid thing to say. He didn't ask how to be uber, he asked how to win a few battles. You can have fun as a Pistoleer/CH and still win some things. And I guess you have never PvP'd. Because a BH/Pistoleer/(and either TK or Smuggler) is AMAZING at PvP. You are right, that Pistoleers can't solo the Geo Caves, but they can still have fun.
Hey, he wants to win, why not go with a powerful profession? Geez, you must spend too much time on these boards, if you get pissed off so much at that post. I have a friend who LOVES CH and won't ever drop it, but even she realises how broken it is. And i have PvP'd, and even a Pistol God will get torn apart unless he gets a Krayted, Yellow-Cubes, Damage Sliced Geonosian Pistol. Ever wonder why Rifleman will occasionally wonder if they should use a Tenloss or a Jawa Rifle? It's because a pvPer would probably have a Shield Generator, which will block Half, maybe more of the Stun damage the jawa will be doing, while the Acid damage of a Tenloss will sail through it and hit the person, which will usually result in more damage.
