Why not Jedi?

I never knew that they were a negative to the game. I'm not a Jedi or Bounty Hunter so please enlighten me.

They ruined the game by having everyone grind. Also once they become knight they become to tough in PvP. It is possible to kill them but they are still to powerful.

okay, you must be dreaming, yeah it would be awesome to have a new server, but do you really think SOE is going to put up a new server when half the servers are abandonded, and why would they change the ruleset that they have worked so hard to create? Another thing, why would they give free character transfer? so that your uber def stacker can go and nerf a bunch of missions and own the place in a week? No, if a new server was created, everyone should start at square one with thier 1000 credits and CDEF pistol. If SOE really wants to fix the outrageous jedi population, bring back perma-death, that would give the overts a reason not to walk around in coronet or theed chasing noobs with thier lightsabers.

Soe will never bring a new serer online unless the regular servers were getting crowded. we all know that's not the case. Even if you get rid of Jedi on certain servers you still have the problem of defensive stackers. What about them? Maybe after the combat revamp we can explore this more.

Why a server with no Jedi ?

Less stupid repeated grinding that burns people out and makes them hate SWG and leave the game for more interesting entertainment. These people leave with the impression ingrained that SWG is only stupid mindless grinding and spread this opinion on other boards and give SWG a bad name. That the hologrind has severely hurt the game has been acknowledged by the devs themselves and the new grind is not much better. And IMHO Jedi are not appropriate for the timeframe we are playing in right now.

Less grinding means more time spent with others ... more grouping on ground and in space, more PvP, more events, more vette/DWB runs etc. = MORE FUN

If you really want to do some solo grinding (there ARE days were you are not into active interaction with others ) you can work on the FS village quest .. which is STILL a lot of grinding but not as insane as the Jedi career. And without the NEED to do the FS quest ultraquickly because there are a few more dozen million FS XP waiting to be grinded afterwards people may take a bit more time with the village. The quests are actually quite fun if you take your time.

About the problems with CM/RM and melee stackers dominating such a server at first: I am quite sure that problem will go away with the Combat Upgrade so it would be only a temporary problem. I expect more balanced combat professions with the CU.
