The guys in NE Spain say things like, "Barthelona," if I'm correct. Which I probably am not. My memory is too selective for me to remember what happened when I was in Spain.
Anyway, GL with your job. Looks like you fooled 'em.

Here's one that divides many Star Wars fans, since nobody seems to be able to find an official pronounciation:
Twi'lek. Is it "Twai-lek" or "Twee-lek"?

Wow, I guess I say "twaylÉk" for Twi'lek. "Scythe" is a real word and it is "saydh". /dh/ is the "th" in "that" (voiced) while /th/ is the "th" in "think" (voiceless). Voiceless means the focal chords/folds do not vibrate while a voiced sound they do vibrate. For example, /s/ and /z/ only differ in voicing.

With all the "ur" "wot" "u" and "r" going around with massive heaps of "haxxor" "roxxor" "l33t" and "pwn j00 n00b," it's good to see there are still folks who give a sh!t about language
Well done.

Lots of people in this thread had differing ideas on how "Bestine" was pronounced, and a couple others. Virrago stepped in and made it official... "Bess-Teen."

Of course, by analogy Bestine = /bEstín/ because Tatooine = /tatuín/ and Dantooine = /dantuín/

Of the whole list, I think that only Theed and Corellia were mentioned on screen. Theed is fairly self explalatory anyway. Corellia is KO-rehl-ee-ah. Well, according to Han, anyway. But he'd know, wouldn't he?
You really want a laugh, ask George Lucas what the name of the ice world is. Sheesh. LOL...
