Awesome work Laeren! When I heard that someone had done a chess board I was thinking 'hmm ok dice inlaid in a tabletop?' The scale of this makes it a million times more impressive than anything I could have imagined. I think you made good choices fitting various droids to different roles.... IMO the probe droids work nicely for knights since they are the only ones that can move over other pieces so the fact that they floatfits the part^.^ the rest of the library looks great too, love the sconces, reading areas,and the book cases covering the walls.

Wow that was amazing. It's worth the walk for anyone who doesnt play on starsider...I couldnt get anyone to tip me 100 credits so I could take the shuttle there but it was worth the walk(reminds me of the old days).

Congrats! I'm sure I can speak for all the Prtuguese players when I say that is a great piece of work!

As to the guys that said he was doing a creature version of a chess game I say carry on diversity is at the core of the game! Hitting with a sword is not the same thing as hitting with a stun batton or a gaffi or a punch and shooting a spratstick is definitly the same as shooting a lightning cannon.

So carry on I'd like to see your version of the chess table top! I'm sure it would be great!

Wow!... and... um... WOW! ok... Now for a question. Is there a larger pixel count version of this amage around anywhere to download as windos desktop wallpaper? (I dont want to make another charicter to go take a screen cap myself and I know lots of people IRL that would use it.)
That has got to be the coolest thing I have seen though. wow...

Thank you everyone else for the comments. This was something that was hanging around in the back of my mind for quite some time ever since I got into home decorating, and it just took a bit of effort figuring out how to actually make the board and which chess pieces to use.Special thanks to Wynn (Trnity City, Naboo, Starsider) for hiscomprehensive help in picking chassises, explanation of droid colorization and actually producing them for me on a very quick basis. Thanks again Wynn!

Oh, and a tip if you plan to visit: Turn off your "Character LOD Manager" in your settings, at least while in the library. I know that if it's on, some of the droids a little farther away de-res a little and turn polygonic. If you turn this off, they all appear as normal.
