you dont know AP1 and AP stuff? maybe you should wait on soloing that elder...
power hammers and scythes are AP2, and composite is light armor, and light armor = 1, so the elder gets a damage bonus on you when using an AP2 weapon

you can't solo a elder... you might be able to solo an elder... but if you don't know about AP stuff and that then bad idea (ponders why)
Anyway if composite is a light armor... do we have any "heavy" armor?

compo not good enough for yas ? sheesh lol
soloin isnt every thing maybe u could pair up with a friend and share loots between the two to make it safer that way u have more damage and a safer task.... always good to tag team 
dunno what prof u are but u will need to bea swordsman or rifleman and having a commando using a launcher pistol with good special can help or a med of some kind.... not the answer u have wanting but a alternative.

h yah, I think a Jedi can solo an elder too. You asked how to solo an elder, and I'm delivering. Become a Jedi Master, it's easy enough.

speed capped master swordsman with a nice acklay PH
master brawler
master medic (rest of Sp's put into doc)
nice new composite sliced
your going to need nice buffs, mind buffs, brandy canape and maybe muon/pixie
also might need some stims
intimidate then go to work on the mind pool.

This is What i Did last night i solo'd a Elder who was chilling with 2 protectors some initites and a spell weaver.
OK forget the others we talking elders here
Template = Tka 4000, Fencer 0440, M.Brawler, M.Swordsman, Medic 2440.
I am speed capped and do have a near 1k Power Hammer
First up i hit him with Warcry2, Then Slap 3-4 Intim 2's on it, Mind Hit 2 4-5 hits, Then Head hit 3 all the way....... Thats all i do lol, I don't worry about weapones they are carrying, maybe i armor ignores that, 39% stun 90% base? i don't do psg if an elder is lucky he might get me too 50% health, but thats as dangerous as it gets.

I'm a Master Swords / TKA / Brawler with Medic 2/0/3/0.
The only problem I have with Elders is if they have a Stun Baton or Medium AP Weapon (scythe, PH, or a couple other Swordsman weapons). Just keep it intimidated. Mind secondary buffs help as well, I always cap my focus so I won't lose any mind on specials.
Enhanced Melee Speed helps a lot too! I have a 650+ max dmg PH (non-Acklay mind you) at 5.4 speed and I almost hit the speed cap. I haven't used it yet for trying an Elder. The last time I was out I used my 613 5.4 spd PH and the Elder fell in less than 10 minutes. It used to always take me close to 1/2 an hour before I had melee speed using my 3.6 spd 470 max dmg hammer (and not getting close to the speed cap).
I actually reccommend NOT using MindHit2, mostly because it negates WarCry to a great degree if you need to heal. With Medic 2/0/3/0 I can use Stim C's to heal for over 1k often and cure bleeds (which are a pain, half the time I don't even heal them and let them go away on their own).
Oh yeah, and when the Elder is down to less than about 20k HAM, I'd throw in a /taunt every few seconds. Those buggers love to run off (and server lag often teleports them over 100m away instantly, putting them out of reach).

Master Rifleman/Ranger. You can kill it with conceal shot wihtout taking even a single hit. If you hit a bleed, you got 10 seconds to get out of range, otherwise you'll get aggro. Once bleed subsides go back to work. prone at 60m and conceal shot. Ranger camo helps ALOT, too if you have it. I don't even wear armor thanks to camo. If you have camo you dont even need to rsuh with the looting. You can just walk into the middle of a group of reds, loot the corpse, go back to 60m and get started on the next one. But since NS's are on Dathmir, you need either Master Ranger to make your own Dath Camo kit or buy a Dath Camo kit from another master ranger.

Sounds great! Well ethier master rifleman, master ranger or TKM, m swordsman, m Brawler and the rest on medic.... dunno whith really...

My personal favourite is getting within 64m of it (well you can usually be just 65m)
With the template BH 0-0-4-0, Command 0-0-0-0, SL 0-0-0-4 and put the rest of your stuff anywhere you want. (Some TKA defense tree is good)
First summon lowend droid/pet to group with it and get your ranged defense bonus from the SL tree. Then get a good launcher pistol (one with high max damage, disregard everything else on it) and use a torso shot from that range. Then just stay atleast 65m+ ahead of it at all times until the fire wears down. When this happens just fire another torso shot at it and continue to stay ahead of it.
With your ranged defense tree high enough you should barely be hit if ever and the torso should should do about 20k fire damage to the elder per round. (This was awhile back when i did this so the might of fixed the damage torso shot does with its fire bonus in relation to the armour it is hitting).
But anyways you just rinse and repeat and eventually you'll down it.

elders with stun batons arent much with stun armor. me and a friend took one on and I was tanking.. all i had was 38% stun helmet and chestplate and we did just fine.
I'm a swordsman/doc on my alt and can solo elders just about most of the time.

stack intimidate 1 and 2
stack both bleeds
