I have the exact same problem, but everytime i send a bug report, they send me some lame "common answers" thing that doesn't help me one bit. I'm sure most of you know exactly what i'm talking about.

Nobody is doing it wrong Kebron. Do a search on these boards and see how many people have the problem I am having, and the disk in the backpack problem as well. They released this Publish knowing it was still broken.........

I had fixed it with lor and relog just 100m anwy from waypoint. :-)

I have this problem where i can't read the damm data disk? its keeps sayintg that "I have to loot the disk first"

I have 2 disks,. cause every time i get the mission it is in a &^%%*en building i ask the csr guys to help me.. they get the sith out but its always the same god dam result.. "You have to to loot the disk before you can view it"

I'm really mad.. i have spend so much of my time working towards jedi, and i'm not starting again!!!!!
