I wentto the cave and opened the droid in the back room, but it was empty.... Are you saying that the disk/part is a spawn item, and that if I wait long enough it will respawn there?
I'm saying that there is no reason to even be in that cave. Don't do Jinkins quest and don't do Nym's others friends quests. Just go to the final base where you get the casing and hard drive. The WP is posted somewhere in this thread already. You can start this whole quest by going to the base without ever even going near nym. Don't go to Nym until you have these 2 items. When you have them, go to Nym, and drop them on him... quest and badge completed.
