I have the exact same problem, and I am very sad about it

Dead Forest
Chief Kerritamba, -141 -99
Part 2: Finding the Cure. Collect A myness flower blosom (Can be find in the Kerritamba village, -121 -137), Osera seed from a mouf (can be found scattered around near 138 1), webweaver silk (219 294) and a ranrt crystal (Saymori witch, scattered throughout the Dead forest, near 172 85). Bring the items back to the chief so he can concoct a cure.
The orange part in the guide above is where the main quest bugs for me.
I have frequently /bug'd and /ticket'd in-game since RotW came. Ticket response unhelpful and often irrelevant or misunderstood.
Character: Seana Steelbone
Server: Corbantis
From the Quest Log:
Quest Category: Kkowir Forest: Kerritamba
Quest Category: Kkowir Forest: Kerritamba
Quest: Search for the Cure: Part II
Details: Chief Kerritamba was able to test the retreived items on several live plant speciments. From the results, he seems to have discovered the correct ingredients needed to make a cure.
The Issue in a nutshell:
After speaking to Chief Kerritamba to finish the quest, the quest journal is not updated. When speaking to Kerritamba again the conversation is looped.

Conversation:
Chief Kerritamba: [Chief Kerritamba seems deep in thought.]
Me: Chief Kerritamba? I have the ingredients for your cure.
Chief Kerritamba: Ah, perfect. Now... let us hope it works. I will mix the ingredients and prepare it for you momentarily. If the cure works, it will easily cure our Great Tree.
Me: The Great Tree?
Chief Kerritamba: I will explain to you the history of our Great Tree in due time, my friend. Come back after I have mixed the cure.

Found a way to get me and my guildmate through. I'll try and recall them exactly (it was late last night) 
(A=group leader, B=group member)
(In group together the whole time, never disbanded)
1st Round
- Atalksus into the Arena first
- A talks to Wirartu / A and B defeat spawns
- Both A and B damage Wirartu 50% and he becomes unattackable and his name is Red (instead of White)
- Unable to converse, so ran around the edges of the arena "trying" to break the busted agro
- Wirartu's name turns White BUT he still attacking A
- A Did a quick Disconnect / Reconnect
- After about 5-10 seconds A converses with Wirartu and let him live!!
- Exited Arena
2nd Round
-B talks us into the Arena
- B talked to Wirartu / A and B defeat spawns
- B runs to edge of arena and circles it while A draws agro on Wirartu
-A dmgs Wirartu to 50% and maintains the "broke" agro on Wirartu
(Wirartu's name is Red)
- After about 30 seconds or so Wirartu's name turns White for B
- B converses and let's Wirartu live
- A was also able to converse with Wirartu
- Exited Arena

just wanted to bring this back up while maybe they are doing bug fixs to the new expansion they can hook up some kash ones

I have the exact same problem, get the looping dialogue after returning from the caverns at the start of the Kerritamba quests.
CSRs have been sooooooo helpful.
