yup. what a disorganized way to fight a GCW. the other day I was talkign to a buddy and there was this dude of same faction. next thing I know he's being attacked by opposing special forces. hell, if I knew he was overt I would've switched to help him. things were way cooler with TEFs.

/sigh

How about an easy way to switch to SF and a unique marker for SF troops?

Sounds like a better solution to me.

/who also works with categories besides faction.

Like profession:

/who pilot

or race:

/who zabrak

or guild:

/who poj

And if you don't give any category, it just lists whoever is around.

I make myself Searchable just for this.

Its always helpfull in PvP to beable to find people fast.

I go Special Forces and jump from starport to starport doing a /who to see if any enemys are in the city.

I dont really see why any one would not be searchable.

You go Special Forces to PvP, why not get to the action faster by making yourself searchable?

Not if you make yourself anon in the options.

I remember doing tests a long time ago, and if you are anon and overt, you still come up. I should test it again.

Unchecking the "Searchable" box in your profile takes you off /who, regardless of your factional status.

Also, important to note, that the /who commands are relative to your faction. If you are Imperial, the only people that come up on /who rebel are searchable special forces rebels. For /who Imperial, you will get anyone that is searchable and Imperially aligned, regardless of whether they are on leave, combatant or special forces.

The only way to know if members of your faction around you are also special forces is to ask

Another good one for base hunting or escaping is /find rebel or /find imperial. Regardless of your faction, the commands will give you a waypoint to the closest base of that type.

I don't think there is a single PVPer on Radiant who isn't already /anon. Then again... Radiant > *.

I just wanna point out that you're not a gangster because nobody likes you.
If you're anti-gun, will you think twice when a burgler has his to your face and you can't do anything about it?
Some people define hell as infinate repetition. SWG must be hell.

/anon works fineand makes you invisible to /who

I use it in space PVP too.

I have it in a macro, that loops and fires off the /who command every 5 seconds. That way I instantly know if someone enter my sector of space, unless they are /anon, of course. Helps a lot when dogfighting for faction in Deep Space.

New master pilots are often not /anon and easy prey in deep space, but also a cheap kill. Using /who let's you taunt t before you can even see each other.

i got a hot tip. how bout letting imperials see who on their own side is overt or not.

two for one day also says that for a hot tip if SOE were to remove the PVE bases from the game and put the PVP bases back like they used to be the game would see a reduction in lag of very noticable levels.

When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, 'How can we do this and not make another EQ?' We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."
