They do not need to keep customers or even please them. It is a pretty equal ratio. For every one person that says something negative there is someone with an opposing view. That attitude is well enough to sustain life in this game for at least a couple years even if they stop working on it today and left it "NERFED" as everyone likes to call it. You can accept the fact that to make it a better games things have to be changed or don't. Why stay and annoy people if you do not like it? I mean I am not thrilled that I have over 200 paitnings of luke and han. But i have it. It was something new and for that I was greatful.

There will always be something new but I think these devs give in too often to all the whining around here and as a result everyone thinks it is good to have that attitude. Well I think you should suck it up or walk and if you choose the latter don't sit here and tell us about it for a week and about what other better "WORKING" game you are going to because you will just dissapoint yourself anyway.

Now to answer the specific question of the post. The loot is still here...with some minor additions. High-end drops were reduced for a few reasons. Rare items will in fact become rair as they are used up. It will also help stabalize the economy by making only truely rare items worth anyhting in the millions. All the things that the team wanted to include in the game yet remain rare have become a bit overwhelming and they are cutting back a bit to add some adventure and such to finding these rare loots. Anothing thing that was specifically stated was that not all the same MOBS will neccessarily drop the former loots. Things are somewhat more random than they were before. Just make sure to read the dev posts and understand them. Try not to assume different meanings from their posts. They are strait forwward with them you just need to pay closer attention.

Remember the only thing truely "BROKEN" or "NERFED" in SWG are the attitudes of the players.

Yes...but I would callthe inclusion of "somewhat" the understatement of the year.

Random is one thing...but doesn't it appear broken? I haven't been killing Protectors and Spell Weavers, etc for very long..only 2 months, but I have to wonder why a locked container would be an acceptable loot table item for a really strong, FS NPC that can be quite difficult to beat?

Yes, I realize that I can take out the entire Stronghold...if an Elder is not around, pretty quickly. Having an Elite Prof and sub skills that suit PvE fighting is one advantage...and maybe that is why the loot had to be reduced, changed, nerfed, somewhat randomized, broken, etc.

If I received a bunch of Crystals each time I did a tour de force of the NS POI's...the market would be flooded with them...which is a bad thing? More goodloot would not worsen the economy...LESS good loot hurts the economy.

For example:

Look Skytalker kites 30 NS Elders in 3 days and gets 10 Uber lances, 5 Premium crystals and various other loots. Jim Beam also hunts Elders and gets close to the same loot...and soon, there are several great crystals and lances around, and the prices reflect the quantity.

On the other hand, if you make Look hunt for 10 days through 300 Elders to get a single Premium Crystal drop....that will make that item rare and extremely expensive.

Combine scenario 2 with a reduced economy because of solo group changes and a declining population...what do you think the best option is?
