they are a faction pet of the Imperial Faction, cost like 9k faction for humans and like 20k+ for other spieces.

It is really too bad. And I am being sincere about that even though I am a rebel. The ATST is an awesome machine. It used to be ridiculously overpowered and I can remember wetting my pants and running away screaming the first time I got jumped by a rifleman with TWO of them chasing me. Then spending 20 minutes with a well rounded group of about 15 people and 10 professions back when they all still had a purpose taking down a random spawn ATST outside of AH. It was tough but it was fun and actually had me on the verge of switching just to play with them (Course at the time I had 2 Graul Maulers in tow when they were still worth something). Sadly now you can put that ATST up on a shelf next to my worthless graul maulers and all the other worthless weapons in the game (cept the t-21 which oddly enough did not exist on my server at that time). Now your best bet is to be one of the 3 still unbroken professions in the game.. TKM, Fencer or Rifleman and await the fabled combat revamp.
on a positive note.. I have read reports in the HOC chats stating that there are plans to someday add ground type vehicles to JTL... maybe at that time you can drive your pet ATST or even an ATAT around.. until then we can only hope

(heard someplace they can't..)they can only attack opposite faction things i believe. this was because back in the day when buffs were not around people would use them to kill the 40k+ Kunga missions on dantooine they would just send the at-st in and it would decimate the Kunga and the owner could just rake in the rewards.I think this is all for now....thanks
lol...grief the owner. they should do what? let it run amok?

Hmm I have had mine for 6 months and use it for pvp all the time. Just be careful with it make sure you are ready and avoid groups. How you ask, by scoping out the town you are about to raid before you call it, ah regularly has 1-3 overts and with my at-st i can take 1-3, if there is more then i leave..
I suggest you give the at-st another chance and just be a little smarter.

lol i have done it thou, 1st thing you hear on TS or Vent is "KILL THE AT-ST", the players are a no-factor once a player at-st comes onto the field. 20+ people all keythe at-st and leave everyone that is attacking them alone, and there goes like a mill+ credits or faction you earned over days, gone in seconds.

I don't pvp much, but i can't imagine that letting at-st's run about plunking away at people like combat meds and doctors who might not have the defensive templates to put up with it would be considered bad strategy.
not that at-st's and other faction pets sucking is very "star warsy", but i'd probably want the thing gone quick too![]()

Hehe I remember last July when I was an imperial and I was so stoked. I had run faction missions as a master medic with carbines 4 forever to save up enough faction to get an AT-ST. Pulled it out and within 20 minutes like 2 weeks of work was gone lol.

Last summer ATST were the shiz. People Solo-ed Krayts (the OLD Krayts, where you needed like 30 People to down one) cause they could pull 3 of those things.

You already got the sad, sad answers... Sorry - mine has not seen the light of day in many months due to the fact that is weaker than most npcs and animals in the game anymore. Fun to look at, but not worth the faction by any means... Oh how I wish I could trade it back in...Or sell it, or something... /sigh
