Great idea, Tiaga. I like how it is decorative and helps your customer.

I'm stealing this... I have something similar up (with shirts), but not nearly as cool.
Edit: dangit Lithium, I'll send the message when I'm good and ready. Stop jumping the gun.

I personally thing the number of items in housing/structures should be increased to drastically support more people using creative ideas like this, to me one awesome display and the house space is used upand there's no room left fornormal items, such as furniture (anyone actually been able to decorate or funish every room in a guild hall, or a large house for that matter?). Kind of a waste in my opinion, allthou nice to look at.

It's a stretch, I tell ya. The house that appears on the front page of the SWG SOE site (with the fishtank and the fireplace) is mine. That house is a large Generic (style 2 I think), and in it I managed to get a Kitchen, Dining Room, Bathroom/sauna, Bedroom, Living Room and even a couple of pieces in the entryway. And a weapons collection on the wall. But, luckily this kind of house has relatively few rooms in it (5 total).
However, the other style large Generic house I just did for someone had a few more rooms (10 total), so I had to skimp on the Dining Room and TV Room a bit. Most of the item space was taken up by a fishtank, fireplace, kitchen and an artwork display (with enclosing glass-esque case). I wish Ihad beenable to put more into the house but I ran into the 250 limit and couldn't compromise any of the nicer displays to add more amenities.
I too wish they would go with the 75 items/per lot. Then, they can either up the amount of space in a large generic, or reduce the number of lots to 4. And PA Halls...man, so many rooms, so little space! 9 lots, it should have 675 item storage in it!
Well,we can dream

so with all the displays, where do you keep your regular items, being a crafter it seems my houses are alwyas full of resources and components.

The trick is you con someone else you know into owning the shop.
Neither of the tailors own that place. I certainly couldn't, as I also own a cantina, and my own large house I had to have someone else hold. The rest of my lots are harvesters and storage.

If you hate not being able to say what color you want, you'll like this even better.
