Mark IV Fusion Reactor
Far too heavy, find a good RE'd reactor from level 2 or 3 with 12k power and use reactor overload
Republic Sienar Systems Imperial Skyrunner Engine
You have completed Tier3, you should have gotten a reward engine that is 79 spd and MUCH better PYR than this. junk it


Mark III Deflector Shield
Good enough for now, but look for lvl8 looted shields. you will begetting a reward shield in tier4 and with 7 loots, can RE it into something nice.


Front Armour/Rear Armour
Adequate. you should have had a nice reward L6 plate that you could be using


Mon Calmari Modified Heavy Capacitor

Horrible capacitor, shop the bazaar for level4s, save your looted level4s and get 4 of them RE'd into something that will eat this one's lunch. With a bit of looking you can get charge of 36 easily, with them topping out just over 40. PS, use Cap overcharge



Mark III Booster
Crafted boosters arent that wonderful. Again you should have had a reward booster with 1980 Energy and good values. Easy to get 3 other L4 boosters for RE.



Weapon 1/Weapon 2
No weapon 3? with that gaumy reactor no wonder. The power of a Kimo is 3 weapon slots. get 3 working guns and a cap to power them, you will be death incarnate. even before weapon overload program. Long term you want to loot and save level6-7-8 guns for use in making light hard hitting RE'd weapons.



Mark IV Droid Interface
Heavy, but acceptable. Speed is only a factor when using tactical programs like Cap to shield shunt. your cap is so awful, that negates any advantage of a fast DI.



sorry this is long winded, im hoping u guys can tell me whats wrong with the set up and maybe advise me how to change and what to look for.

You see guys, the bottom 2 posts are obviouisly what i need to know....but u see...it went over my head..this is my problem, shove a saber in my hand and i rock, ive largely ignored JTL, and now im paying the price for not taking notice.

lol, i wish i could get someone to kit out my ship for me...butthen i wouldnt learn what it all means...

Ive found a couple of

Speed 72
Yaw over 60
Pitch over 60 Engines

but am i buying Lvl7/8? the mass is quite large???

Actually is it possible for someone to post there Component stats in a ship like mine? then i can kinda see where i need to go, would be very very helpful if u could.

Read the post "Know Your Ship:..." I just made not long ago, it should help clear a few things up.


Posting "specific setups" probably won't help you much since there's a great deal of variance from part-to-part and ship-to-ship.

Easy with the bumping, I just had to get home so I could login and look at my SA pilot.


Reactor- Mass:2596 Power 13402 (reverse engineered level 3)


Engine- Mass:9092 Speed: 82 PYR 66/69/72 (this is a reverse engineered Level6 reward engine)


Shield- Mass:30k HP: 2555 f/b Recharge: 14.3 (this is a reverse engineered Level8 reward shield)


Armor- 2 reverse engineered pieces 1100hp each 7k/11k mass


Capacitor- Mass: 8k Energy:1248 Recharge: 45.8 (this is heavy, but its a good RE'd level8)


Booster- Mass: 3k Energy: 2039 Recharge 51 Consumption: 143 Accel: 37 Speed: 25 (reverse engineered level 4 reward booster)


Droid Interface- Mass: 483 Speed: 15.5 (this is a pre-fix level 1 loot DI if you can find one, you'll be lucky)


Weapons- 3 guns, reverse engineered. I can give details but its just more numbers. Crafted guns with low Charge/shot will work fine for you, until you can find enough good guns to RE.


Yes, a lot of my stuff is RE'd over crafted, but that's because I'm a shipwright who spent weeks looting and scavenging parts. You can find a good crafted reactor, armor, shield, and guns, and you will be just as tough as you need to be at your level. I'm kitted out to finish tier4, I just haven't yet.


My kimo is exactly 5 tons under its 109k mass. I have her packed

Sorry about the bumps, this is really doing my head in, tho im sure when i get my head round it it will be fun to find better parts as i go, i jusy wanted something to compare with.

actualy i just remembered, rebels get shuild boosts i beleive, so infact his shield really only has 1kish, but is being overpowered to 10k, and yea, your ship sounds okay other than the engine and cap.

Honestly, don't go hunting for specific parts to try and match what I have, unless you have a reward item you are looking for RE matches for. As I said (I think) my stuff was filtered from lots of hours of hutning and bazaar scavenging. Just start looking at your loots in groups, and getting a rough idea what good/bad numbers are. Focus less on the level of the part, and more on the stats. Take a look at the bazaar too. Set it for Galaxy wide, pick a part type, and sort by name. Then open up the details window and flip from item to item quickly. Ignore anything thats name begins in "Mark" and just study loot. This can help get your head in the right place for looking at your loot critically.


As an aside, you never made mention of your reward parts. Do you still have them? What happened to them? I know a lot of people in your boat (fresh in the game) don't notice that they get items from the trainer after many missions. There are lots of tales of woe as to reward engines sold on the bazaar and such.

Tales of woe, im new to JTL not SWG...if i got ne Reward parts i probably did sell them, as i said i BLAGGED my way to 3/3/3/3 so im finding it difficult,

One more question..whats the deal with the Astro Mechs and Flight Computers?

Hmmmm, as i said in a previuos post, ive smartened up my Ship, it now moves well, and i can take on Tier 4's the only problem im having is the same Weapon problem, sustained fire means my Weapon bar goes down quicker than a Boxer on the Fiddle.

i changed the capacitor, Engine, Weapons, Droid Interface, Booster and Deflector Shield..here are the new stats..

That's to be expected. the three guns together have something like 90+ energy per shot, and the capacitor has 37 recharge. Not much you can do about that except Capacitor Overload and Weapon Overload 3 (Which currently reduces capacitor drain)
