Does anyone else miss or want the ground group loot messages back?

How's that work? Yeah, it IS a way to tell if someone ninja-loots, but still... Someone mentioned McCarthyism. Well, the loot announcements seem like Big Brother to me.I WOULD like to see the slain/incapacitated notices returned, though. I am often the group doctor and hate to wait until I get a tell before I heal someone.
this is important to the guilds and huge groups of people who get together on a regular basis to do krayt hunts and night sister hunts, especially when in the past you thought trusting someone was all you had to do, until people who you thought would never rip you off, do. you lose trust easily in this game. i mean how hard is it to loot something and say oh it was nothing and walk away with a premium pearl? come on. if you think you can get away with it, you probably will. i hardly loot anything since im ranged, it was nice when they put this message into the game, just an added bonus.

I would also like the "you have completely looted the corpse of all items" message to be changed to "you have looted an XXXXX from XXXXX"
that way i won't be disappointed when i lget loot from a NS elder and it turns out to be heavy duty leather.
What about clasps or satchels? ![]()
I'd like to see the actual item in the message also.

----not only that, but it would be nice to know who's doing the majority of the looting so that "turns" can be taken. Yes, I hunt (primarily) with people I trust, but we invite strangers into the group on occasion as well, and with a lot of people in this game you just never know.
And while I do understand the point earlier that there are a lot of other, "more important" issues in the game, this is a simple fix, it was in before- obviously nerfed by the solo-group phenom, which then got nerfed itself- and would be relatively quick and easy to squeeze back in, surely easier than creating "phat loot" which most of us could do without and would probably rather do without if it meant that something important actually got fixed/included.
As far as the CURB, thats a carrot thats been dangled a bit too long, and gets pushed back more everyday- they (the devs) need to get on the ball and throw smugglers, ranged profs, and non-combatants some friggin bones or there wont be anyone left to see the Combat Update/revamp/whatever IMHO.
I LOVE this game dammit! I want to see em fix it before they kill it by trying to ensure job security by making sure it never works right.
I don't know if the solo-group nerf is what broke it. I'm thinking JtL because it stopped working when JtL came out. That and the group loot messages work in space.
As for the rest of your post...you hit the nail on the head.

Who are you hunting with? My guild has NEVER had a problem with this. Whoever is closer loots it, and then we divvy it up. For the most part, each of us know what others are looking for, and whatever is left that's worth anything gets sold on the bazaar, and the proceeds put in the guild fund. Now I know that people will try to rip you off, no matter what medium, I'm not naive. But it seems to me that if you can't trust your guild members, you're in the wrong guild.
Or, maybe we just got lucky and got some really good people. I, personally, would never lie about loot or anything, because even if my guild took my word, I'D know I was lying, and I absolutely REFUSE to be dishonest, no matter what medium I'm dealing in.

i hunt with my guild and havent had any bad experiences in a long long time but back in the day when holocrons were what got you into being a jedi, we always hunted on dantooine to get them. we had people loot and not tell anyone yadda yadda, before the messages were even in game. then theres always the great experience of having put someone in the guild, stupidly putting them on admin because you want to trust them and then having them steal several valuable things from the guild. one bad apple...you see can spoil the whole bunch. which makes me trust weary, i trust the people in the guild now, without a doubt, but i would love to see the messages in game again for people that i dont know as well who i go out looting with.
