Oh and to answer the "battery quest failed" message, yeah we got that when we first took that mission back at the beginning of November. It's either a game feature or one of the many various bugs and issues that still needs to be addressed.

I know that those 3 arent coders and cant fix the bug.....frankly I was hoping one of them could try to intervene amd have someone take the dirty batteries (we have 3 now, from 3 bugged quests) and give us clean batteries so we can continue on with the quest, since the droid is bugged.....bus as I said, Ive been completely IGNORED.

Ok, so you also have stopped the quest at the dirty battery stage. Have you guys gone back and talked to the foreman AFTER getting the dirty batteries? I'm almost positive that we DID NOT, thus I can understand why we weren't able to access the droid.
Can anyone else verify whether you can or cannot continue the quest from this stage? We have the dirty batteries but have not talked to the foreman after getting them from Haldo.
If its not possible to pick up the quest from this stage, can anyone give advice onhow to break up this quest so that you can do it on multiple trips?
Last couple of times we have gone, I've tried to get multiple pass keys by activating the door control by a team member that does not have the passkey. About 5 months ago I remember stocking up on pass keys by doing this, but it appears that you can no longer do it this way.
Just a little side note: As if this g@ddam/|/ quest wasnt hard enough already, the new connection bug really makes it fun. Great having one member (or five) go LD for no reason. Then you gotta stand next to your LD teammate rekilling the same spawn while he frantically tries to reboot and logon. Fun!

We had a fantastic group try the foreman's quest at the DWB tonight but we found it was riddled with errors and I was wondering if anyone else had any of these problems.
We made fantastic time down to the foreman, with 6 knights, 3 tanks, 1 doc, and a pretty human female master DE/master artisan. Talked to the foreman, andI tookquest and was asked to talk to Haldo. Then we made our way to Haldo, I wacked some sense into him (once) and talked to him. He said he was sick and he needed the cure.
On our way back to the top to get the cure, I got a message saying "quest failed, did not return the battery to the foreman". We weren't at the stage of the quest, so i was quite confused as to why we got this message. Anyway, we still had about 2 hour and 30 min on buffs so we decided to plug on.
Gotto the medical droid, talked to it, and got the aluminum sickness cure. Then we went all the way back to where Haldo was, however, he was not there. We went back to the foreman and I talked to him again. He regave me the mission to talk to Haldo, fine no problem. We found Haldo again (in a different spot this time) and I was able to give him the cure right away.
Haldo then gave me a dirty battery. We traversed all the way back to the beginning and found the droid to clean the battery. I talked to the droid and it gave me the option to clean the battery. I selected this option (obviously) however the droid replied in spatial with the message: "..." and I got a message saying that I did not have authorization to access this droid.
At this point we were quite upset, I filed a "stuck" CSR ticket but got no response. We also tried giving the battery to the DE in the group and had her try to talk to the repair droid. Again, same message: You are not authorized to access this droid. At this point we were stuck and only had an hour left on buffs so we decided to just leave.
I was wondering if anyone had any of these problems while doing this quest. Will I be able to pick up the quest at the "dirty battery" stage next time? I still have the dirty battery in my inventory. We were very disappointed since we had planned this for awhile and had quite a good group. CSR's did nothing as per usual, despite filing a "stuck" ticket.
Please post if anything like this has happened to your group and if so, how it was resolved. Thx

Can anyone suggest ways to split up this quest so that it can be done easier on multiple trips? I'm particularly interested in ways to get mulitiple pass keys for future trips down, thx.

multiple passkeys ain't that hard to get. just call security twice or how many times you like.
about the splitup, afaik you can split it up after you get the dirty battery. else get a group that can do it in 1 go.

***UPDATE***
Went back tonight.
Had the dirty battery, went to the droid first (since its at the top of the DWB).
Once again we couldnt access the droid "You do not have permission to access this droid."
We went down to the foreman.
The foreman talked to the person with the dirty battery.
She reported being able to advance further in the conversation than she had previously.
We went back up to the workshop droid room.
As a different tactic this time, our group stayed outside the room, drew all aggro outside and the player with the mission went into the room alone.
This time, the droid WORKED!
WE GOT THE CLEAN BATTERY.
Two possible suggestions you can try:
1) Keep your group outside the workshop room to avoid the player w/ the mission drawing aggro and possible bugging the droid.
2) As mentioned, the player with the quest mentioned that the foreman advanced further into the conversation with the foreman that she had previously.
In previous trips, when we went into the mines, we'd run to the foremans room, and deal with all the aggro we picked up there.
At that point our player with the quest would peace and talk to the foreman.
Tonight, we killed almost every aggro FIRST, and then she talked to the foreman.
I know for a fact (because it happened to me tonight as I was trying to start the quest myself as backup) that although you might be peaced when you start conversing with teh foreman, if you get aggrod at all while talking, the conversation is ended and he wont talk again.
So maybe thats why we didnt advance all teh way in the conversation previosu trips, if our teammate got aggrod, even for a split second, it may have bugged the foremans dialogue.
So if youre gonna talk to the foreman, make sure that all aggros are dead, or pretty darn close to it.
Hope that helps.

FANTASTIC! This is exactly what I wanted to hear! I really would have been disappointed if we got this stupid battery for nothing. I'll remember what you said about the aggroing as this may bug the droid. Thx a ton for posting. I'll also post later when we go back and let you know what happened.

well..just to break it to ya... dont be aggroed when u do anything in the bunker... ESPECIALLY craft something... u might lose all the pieces and get nothing.

You cant even start talking while you're aggroed, so to say dont be aggroed is a given.
I think though, that the problem is that even if youve got tanks attacking and spamming taunt like mad, if the person talking (or crafting) gets aggroed, its bad news.
The problem seems to be that the player can get aggroed for a very very short period of time, maybe not even noticeable to the player in question, but it can bug you.
Thats why I was saying its not enough just to dump the aggro, you'll wanna do everything you can, whether it be pull the aggro into another room, or, kill most or all mobs before even beginning to converse, even if youre not aggroed at the time.

Just an update. We took the dirty battery back down to the foreman on a new trip last night. We were able to pick up the quest from that stage. All we had to do was bringthe batteryup to be cleaned, bring it back to the foreman, restore water pressure using the pumps, and go back down to the foreman. Got the alum mineral!!
Since we plan on going alot more now to craft, we decided to reget the foreman quest, talk to Haldo, and get the aluminum sickness cure. We figure we can do it in pieces as we make some jetpacks, eventually having two people (or more) able to get the minerals.
Thanks again for all the help, your posts were GREATLY appreciated!

Well, we finally did it!
After overcoming all the bugs and problems....
After 1/2 of our group all Crashing To Desktop at the same time right outside the water pump room.....
We finally finished the Foremans Quest, got the Alum Min, ran over to the crafting room, and made Wanderhomes very first Jetpack!
Man it was a real challenge but it was all worth it in the end.
We intend to go back in 3 days when we can get another Alum, and see if we can swing another one
