I was under the impression that these were chosen when you first created your character. I could be wrong, I've only created one and it was almost a month ago. I'll create another when I get off work tonight to check it out.

What's up with having your blood type info as part of a matching mechanism in game?

I mean, is that really important to some people? Like hemopheliacs or something?

I can see searching for people based on other characteristics, but for what purpose was blood type included?

I'm really interested to know.

By the way, my blood type is AB positive....AB standing for Anheiser-Busch.

Blood type matching is for those wacky japaneese. The japaneesehave bloodtype profiles very simaler to our astrological profiles.

eg. someone with type A+ blood is supposed to have a very dominant personality.

Side note to this but A- isn't under the blood types. The only reason I noticed is because thats my bloodtype.

In theory, that is set when you create the character. It isn't settable by the players. And like someone said, it's not fully implemented yet...

Doesn't even state anything about it in the Holocron or the game manual? I don't remember seeing anything about it, but I could have easily missed it.

I asked about this myself, I was told by a mod that it was not yet implamented. They have it all there but have not yet turned it on.

I think, it says on the "In Development" page, that this feature will be hidden for the time being since it doesn't work yet.

Actually if you actually watch and do the Intro and Tutorial. Your Starting Planet is NOT your birth planet. I am going to try to create a new character and set it while on the Ship... like how you can Stat Mitagate there instantly... maybe you have to set all that stuff there... I'll post again in a few minutes

Just noticed theres no A- as well. That sucks......or maybe its because A negative is a rare blood group. (Which it is.) Theya re giving us preferential treatment and stopping everyone else from pretending to be part of the special A- Club

It would be nice to see the birthplanet option opened. Perhaps a drop down of a list of official Star Wars worlds, (not just limited to the ten in game.) Im perplexed as to how we are supposed to but a date of birth as we have no in game reference point and there are some 2-4 days per real world 24 hours. So the battle of Hoth should have been a couple of weeks ago, and Palpatine and the Emporer should have died last week. And this week the Ssi-Ruuvi are getting kicked back in to the unknown regions.
