Thread: Two accounts, two monitors

For those of us with alternate accounts who need to keep track of both toons (multitasking). (Say if you have one on one planet doing inspiration buffs, and another on a different planet running missions... or something like that.
And by the way all I was able to get it to work!!!!!
The key is to setting your displays up and alternating which is primary display, since SWG by default only displays on the primary display.
Walkthrough-
You have dual displays up as your setting... open up the control panel for displays, should be a checkbox for which one you want to make primary...
Before doing anything, open up the game options (which you can find as client setup in your SWG folder) make sure you are in windowed borderless mode. (I have not tried it with fullscreen yet) Make sure both monitors are set for the same resolution and refresh rate, and if you have vertex shaders etc... set em to like 1.1 or something low like that. Disable world preloading for the speed factor... but not 100% necessary for this process.
Now go to your display settings...
For sake of arguement make monitor two primary, then launch SWG as usual (I launch my alt accounts on the second monitor). Once you are at the character select screen you can go back to screen one (alt tab), change the primary display to display 1, then launch a second galaxies instance (assuming yall know how to do that too).
What will happen is one account will be open on monitor two (whether your alt or main), and the other on monitor one. All you need to do is alt tab between the two.
I also figured out the way to hotkey so that I can swap monitors too... So if I wanna spend more time on Druu than his brother Korenn, I can make Druu's account show up on the primary (monitor one in my case) and put Korenn on secondary... or vice versa.
I experimented with this yesterday and today, it works... and it works well. I was able to have Korenn in Sanct city healing minds, and Druu on Kashyyyk running the Myyydril caves, and I could see exactly what was happening at all times. If I got tells on one toon, I could see it, alt tab over and answer it. Works like a charm.
***Warning- Running two accounts at once creates lag on your computer... use with caution.***
