Sure would be nice if they'd make some vehicles as fast as or faster than a swoop. They make all these cool looking vehicles but people might use them once every blue moon. Instead they'll use their swoop because it's faster. What a waste...

Sure would be nice if a swoop performed like a swoop, tehee. Whatever happened to dangerous driving, 400mph suicide boosts? All this gorgeous technology and I can drive approximately twice as fast in real life...

Allow me to get this straight:

Speed:BARC Speeder = Swoop Speeder = AV-21 = 17m/s (max ground speed in SWG)

Terrain Negotiation: BARC > AV-21 > Swoop

Therefore, a BARC will behave better on slopes than any other vehicle.

Furthermore, you might notice that the BARC is also more maneuverable that the others too.

So the BARC is the best, yet all of use whole have faithfully played (and paid for) SWG since the beginning can't have one unless we go and spend more RL $$$ on a box that we don't actually need if we bought the expansions as they came out. Brilliant.

The main advantage to Jetpacks are the up hill speed. They are the same or just a touch faster the AV21s/Swoops but they don't slow down one bit going up "ANY" hill. Can't waitto see if they give out vehicle ADK kits.

One thing you guys are forgetting. You can't use the BARC anyplace on Kashyyyk except to travel from the starport to the quest starting points. Once in the hunting grounds, or wherever, the Varactyl is the fastest. So my feeling is that I got half the vehicle the DD'ers did.......I'm stuck using my fancy BARC to check harvs on Rori, and walking Kashyyyk.

although very slow the speederbike has best terrain negotation

but saying that the jetpack is even bettre coz it doesnt even take terrain into consideration.

I sort of agree with this, but I have to give them a break. They did come out with a bunch of craftable vehicles in Pub 17. I think all vehicles should be able to be reverse engineered (for lack of a better word) into a permanent schematic, but I know I'm dreaming there.

If you are on Eclipse Twitchie I will trade my Varactyl for the BARC. Feel a bit jipped we dont atleast get eh option to trade teh stupid beast in on a BARC... always prefered speeds over mounts and if it means I have hoof it on flea-ridden wook world I will... or just get one fo those silly ducks the gunguns ride.

Barc and AV-21 the fastest.

Swoops are as fast as AV-21 & Barc on flat grounds, but are slower on hills.
