You're absolutely correct, these ubiquitousJedi are justone glaring example of how horriblyremoved from continuity this game is. My point was why shouldanyone worryabout any continuity now(concerning Hoth or otherwise) when itnever really existed to begin with...?

If next month Sony beganletting people play as droids, Ewoks, Jawasand Sith Lords.. What difference would it make? Really? Youalready seethe randomwookiewearing achef's hat holding his T-21 rifle, orthetwi'lekincomposite armorwithasledge-hammer and the tag "hair stylist"...

On the other handan Imperial player in swgcan't even wear hisstormtrooper armor ifhe wants to compete. There are a lot of words to describe Star Wars Galaxies - immersion isn't one of them.

I can understand Sony wanting to cash in on the success of "The Sims", and obviouslythey've done so, but look at what it's done to a potentially great game...

Best guess.. Second Expansion. They said, then wont do new plaets till they have filled the others with comtent.

It was said, that after JTL, and ql the planned revamps, trhey wanted to look to specific corners of the planets, For example the "Gungan Temple", and make them content-filled...

"There are thousands of undocumented settlements; it could be smugglers or..."

There is no reason Hoth SHOULDN'T be in the game. Dathomir has two "cities," right? So Hoth could have one or two, as well. As for the realism of surviving the night on an ice world? Well, we used to run through the desert, didn't we? Remember, back before mounts and bikes came along? And most of us did it fully clothed and with armor and all that jazz. There HAS to be some pausing of reality in this game or it would be a major drag. I mean, hell... We never complain about the lack of toilets, do we? :-)

As for timeline... I think we WILL see Hoth, but not until the "EMPIRE STRIKES BACK" supplemental. I am guessing that will come out something like two or three years from now. If this is supposed to be a 'real-time' game, wouldn't that make sense, as approximately three years passed between the events of ANH and ESB? We'l likely get some expansion with Bespin, Dagobah, and Hoth, as well as a big asteroid section fo the flyers in the game. I can hear people whining right now about how Dagobah wasn't supposed to have anyone on it.

Please post questions like this in the Beta forums. We would not know since we are not in Beta plus you probably are breaking the NDA by disclosing Hoth does not exist.

Well, if you wanna break continuity even more fine. Go ahead and site how this game sux in an arguement to make it suck even more. If you realy think Hoth would be a great planet to add then fine. It wouldn't be much different than a planet like lok is now. you can travel accross the entire planet and not see one wild creature.

My arguement against Hoth? It was chosen by the Rebels for their secret base BECAUSE it was lifeless and barron. It would be one of the last places the Imperials would look for them because it would be a horrible place to set up an outpost, thus it was the best place for them. The only action Hoth saw was when the imps finally did find them, then attacked and rooted the rebels out. After that day, Hoth went back to being uninhabited. What's more, The only people on hoth before the attack were Rebels, period. Nobody besides a rebel at the base had any business being there. So what sense would it make to have neutrals and imperials running around trying to find Eccho Base on a planet that is supposed to be uninhabitable?

Well, i'm not even sure if Echo Base has even been constructed yet in the current timeline, maybe initial Alliance scouts have been there, but the timeline is a long way away from the Battle of Hoth.

Thousands of Jedi aren't supposed to exist in the current timeline either...

Thousands of TKs didn't exist in this time line...and nobody whines about them.

I just wish people would quit using continuiy for their moaning about Jedi...when there are so many other continuity breakers they ignore. Either complain about them all...or don't complain at all.

Roar. eveyone keeps saying Hoth has notting one it. Theres alot to be put on it and to prove it play Super Empire Strikes Back for the Super Nintendo. If you dont own it you can buy it for like 2 bucks or if you dont want to buy it look up S/s for it. the 1st half of the game is on hoth and has Lots of thingS to kill. (or be killed by) and i Do think Eco base was bulit. and if it was not then hell theres another Rebel mini Theme park. "Help build Eco base" or for the imps "Help find Eco base" it would be cool. and you would be able to build house and what not. forget the dieing from cold thing. thats like saying ."Today on Tatioon you have a 45% chance of haveing a Heat stroke" leave all that dieing form cold stuff out. the game does not have to be that in depth. All thoe it would be kinda kool. Blah im getting off Topic. the point is there are lots of thing to kill on hoth and it would be a nice asset to the game.

So, your view is that the timeline is already screwed, why not screw it some more?

Because the battle for hoth hasn't happened yet.

At this point in the game we're jus one year after the batttle of Yavin (the end of A new Hope)

Hoth and the beginning of Empire Strikes Back ins't for another year, maybe two.

There's no point to argue this with brianlweb.. he's obviously a kid.

I could think of better planets to add than Hoth or Dagobah. How about some of the planets that Anakin and Obi-Wan visited while Anakin was just a Padawan? Or Kashyyyk. The Bothan homeworld.. the Rodian homeworld. Most of the planets for the races we already have in game have mostly not been described in great detail, and leave for vast amounts of interpretation. How great would it be to have your Wookiee friends take you to the Forest floor of their homeland to do some hunting, Wook style?? Of course.. there'd be some quest you would have to do to gain the Wookiees' trust, since the Forest floor is considered sacred hnting grounds.

Did you forget about the non-discloser agreement they put in there? Hope a DEV or someone doesn't read this for your sake, might wanna tone it down. Wouldn't want SOE to sue ya

NDA! What a joke!

Timeline, another joke!

I suggest not to even worry about such things. You may go mad if you do! lol
