Probaby asked before but would like to know. What races can wear the RIS armor? Im a trad and dont want to go through all the hard work to get everything (only need the scale to finish it off for a helm) and not be able to wear the armor.

sorry i forgot to put that in the guide. ill edit it in later. the races that can not wear RIS (the helm) are mon cal, trandoshans, wookies, rodians, and bonthans. for the other pices, trandos can't wear the boots or gloves and wookies can't wear any. not sure if there are any other restrictions on mon cals or bonthans... maybe bonthans can't wear the boots or the gloves but im not sure.

Nice Armor. Too bad it has stun and acid vuln. A BH with a Scatter pistol (acid) or a good player-made Geo Sonic Pistol (stun) will tear you apart in PvP if you wear it.

Yeah, but who uses acid weapons in PvP? What are the choices...

Commandos: Heavy acid rifle, it sucks, and any commando almost always uses FT in PvP

Rifleman: DXR6-b, nope, nearly every RM (if not every)uses Jawa for PvP

Pistoleer: Again, I haven't seen one use a DX2 for PvP in ages

Carbineer: Never seen one use a DXR6 for PvP

Now I knowI could've missedafew, and I knowthat just because I've never seen a weapon used it doesn't mean it isn't used. I'm just trying to clear that up.

I was never a commando, but I have a DXR-6b and use it exclusively for PVP not that I do., same with my DX2, and my WS uses his DXR6 when in PVP. If most armor has a resist to something, the best tactic is to go where it is its weakness is, in this case most armor is vulnerablr to acid so that is what we use.

bump because of update. i did a few tests and found exactly which species coulden't wear the RIS helm (wasn't sure about bonthans or rodians) and added a section on it. enjoy!
