If you do it the smart way....if you are capable..... You ask everybody in the room if they are there to talk or kill. All those who have to kill group up, and wait for the talkers to get done. Then, when the talkers are done, the kill group each takes a shot, then finish him off. This is how we've been doing it on Starsider, and nobody is having any problems with it.
This is what I had to do since there was a mob in the room there to kill him. All the "killers" grouped and let the "talkers" do their thing, then We unoaded on him! You don't need to loot him for the papers, all you need to do is have one shot in on him before he dies to move on to the next part of the quest.
What they should have done was make this an instanced quest... as of now there are mobs of people in Deeja Peak and Keren.
