Eh, even on Dathomir there's "safer areas," and as it stands now, prior to the combat upgrade, basically any noob with composite armor, buffs, and novice medic can kill anything less than a Nightsister Sentinel if they're patient enough. I've seen it myself.

I envision Kashyyyk to be pretty dangerous in the more remote areas but dotted with a few safe major [tree?] cities as well.

I dunno. Maybe the coastal areas are supposed to be safe in the EU material. But I do hope that the forest floor is very tough.

Well we can already see tons of ground base combat, and it does not look that dense, from what pics are available to us.

I think it should be like Dathomire, in difficulty. But actually i've found Endor to probably be the most hostile planet. More spawns and more nasties there.

I don't think it should only contain Krayt level and up though, that'sa little overkill i think. After the CU, which will come out at the same time, Combat is going to be a lot different. No more soloing Ancient Rancors with a stick...So hopefully it will have mid level(soloable content) and HighEnd(teams required) content.

I do hope it is like it is in KOTOR though, dark and spooky

To me it's perfectly logical as an all-layers planet, at least based on the EU Kashyyyk. The wook cities are pretty safe, but are still occasionally invaded by pest creatures, and we do need to remember the nohgri attack--generally safe but it can be risky.

The second layer has some predator species in its habitat, and is somewhat risky and scary, but not generally deadly. Y'know, of the 'adolescents dare each other to go do risky, dumb things, and escape with the sense of having faced real danger, but usually 97% intact".

And then there's the forest floor, which should make Dathomir look like a playground, ancient krayts like baby puppies, and bull rancors like fledgeling birds.

The all-players planet certainly makes sense in my head at least.

If Art Carney can walk around and travel Kashyyyk visiting Chewbacca's home, then it is NOT a dangerous planet

I suspect there will be safe cities and dangerous outback.

Eeek! The Special! *Traumitized*

I agree, some portions of Kashyyyk should be...somewhat safe. But most of it should be really unhealthy to visit.

Ah, yes. Now I get it. The "Special".

I must have been in my happy place, trying to block that out.

I dont know if this is true but I heard it in guildchat that there will be new houses with it, kinda like treehouses so If thats true then I spose it will be a build-zone

I'd hope it would be a no build zone. If it's going to be a adventure planet - it shouldn't : just like all others (except Dantooine).

I was guessing it would be Yavin/Endor difficulty, but I'm interested to see what creatures they'll include.

It was my understanding that the CURB will reduce soloing high-level MOB's. So potentially all of the adventure planets should be very difficult. If you say Kshyyyk = difficulty of Yavin IV and Kashyyyk < Dathomire, that has one meaning right now, but something entirely different after the CURB

Well, I guess any planet could be considered "all layers" if you factor in the cities. You're pretty safe in Dant's Mining Outpost or Dath's Science Outpost. But you'll start hitting bull rancors 1000 clicks outside the Science Outpost.

But since 95% of all MOBs (and most MOB combat) are located in the wild, the only place you can get them (or they can get you) is on the floor. Again, maybe the EU has something about the coasts being relatively safe; or maybe they "became" safe for the sake of making this an "all access" planet and capitalizing on the Ep 3 tie-in.

Yeah, the forest floor "shadowlands" are ment to be EXTREMELY dangerous, even wooks fear it and only the bravest warriors from the tree tops go down to hunt, hopfuly it'l be just as dangerous as it was in the books and games cause that will make good hunting trips for guilds
