It is amazing how people can take something simple and take it into levels that are totally unbelievable.
This is a lesson on creativity... Brilliant.

I think someone else had that problem too - it's a codec issue. Do you have the latest version of whatever video player you have? You may need to either update it (Windows Media Player?) or download video codecs (but I wouldn't have a clue as to which one you would need to play this particular one, I'm a n00b when it comes to video production, so far). My friend who initially had this problem downloaded a codec and the video worked for her.
Good luck!

I guess for me the idea of any shop (tailor, armorsmith, etc) is to make it look like it would IRL. Make it something recognizable to people as if they were really walking into a real place. Perhaps instead of having clothing just standing mysteriously in mid air all around the room, pick a few "representative" pieces, and bundle them together on a "rack" of sorts, or group them together in terms of type of clothing (some dresses along one wall, some tops along another). You can have a few "full outfits" standing out in the open (as if on store dummies) but for the most part, most RL clothing shops have their stuff grouped by clothing type and on racks. If you decide not to go with racks (for a more "elegant" feel to your shop) then picking those representative pieces is even more important. Keep it simple.
And don't be afraid to go vertical with things. Most places have an amazing amount of empty ceiling space, and you can utilize those areas to draw the eyes away from the floor. Fill the room upwards and you'll find that the floor doesn't look cluttered with things, and the space will feel bigger.
Finally, don't be too concerned about "filling the entire house". Most shops that I've done are only the main room and perhaps a side room. This is because of the item limits, for the most part. With only 150 items in mediums, ya gotta be choosy about which rooms you do get to decorate. If it's a house, then you can spread the decorations around to make it homey, but for shops, concentrate on one or two rooms at the most. Most people don't "live" instores IRL, so you shouldn't need to either (the exception is if you're going for the "home-crafter" feel, ala Little House On the Prairie, of course). But if you're going for the "mall store" feel (as most seem to be) it's not necessary to make it both a house and a shop. People understand if you haven't decorated every single room in that instance
I know it's a little vague, but I hope this helps a little.

Gah, video is gone now.
Wanted to show people at work. Is it mirrored anywhere?
Also, how did you do that chessboard? What did you use for the board, I can't think of any black/white square items...
