This is what I love about MMORPGs - everyone gets their enjoyment in different ways!
Personally, I think that I'm going to drop Master Doc / Master Rifle and go back to Master Bounty Hunter / Master Pistoleer to see if the Combat Upgrade gives those professions their dues!

- Most rewarding: Jedi (actually feels like Star Wars and gets the adrenalin going.)
- Most profitable: Merchant (Ran a big mall guild mall on Naritus and had 200m at one point!)
- Most fun: Commando (Too easy! You get guilty killing people with FlameSingle2)
- Deadliest: Rifleman or Combat Medic (Unstoppable if you have both. Rifleman is aweful (I kept for that reason!)
- Most loved: Doctor (Too much love sometimes! People won't leave you alone)
- Most abused: Dancer (They need a union - the grief was sometimes unbelievable)
- Most hated: Combat Medic (Evil beyond belief. Watching people diseases and poison to death made me crywith laughter)
- Hardest profession: Politician (Tell Hell 24 x7, but I used to run a huge city and guild on Naritus and loved it!)
- Least fun: Bio Engineer (Ughh... I almost quit the game grinding that! Not for the faint-hearted)
Anyone else have any favourites or least favourites?
I mastered 30 of the original 33
Least fun - bio engineer..totally agree
Most Fun - commando or Rifleman
most combat prof to grind- tka and swords
most fun crafting prof - armorsmith
...Ill add comments on Jedi..Still only a Padawan

I am definately going to have to cast my vote for Swordsman as my favorite now. But back in the day I absolutely loved being a Creature Handler.
Most hated: Definately Politician, but I'll never drop my title, heh-heh.

Well, excluding jedi...
- Most fun (ranged): Carbineer
- Most fun (melee): Pikeman
- Most fun PvE: Swords/Doc or Pike/Doc
- Most fun PvP: Carbineer (<--- takes brains, as others have said before.)
- Most fun to RP: Smuggler

- Easiest to make money: Ranger or Smuggler
- Most fun to watch: Commando
- Biggest "OMG YOU'RE A KILLING MACHINE" profession: Rifleman
- Most popular/medicore: TKM -- (sorry, but I'm just sick of seeing people with VKs...)
- Most hate tells: Combat Medic--especially with brawler, feign death, and/or Rifleman, lol.
- Most harassment tells: Doctor -- ("dood, r u buffin?")
- Best warm-and-fuzzy feeling: Doc -- rezing/buffing newbs is fun.

- Best title: "Breeder"
- Worst title: "Assassin"
- The sexiest weapon: DE-10

- Best Forums: Ranger or Commando
- Worst Forums: BH (l337 Wars!), Carbineer (/faq meh)
I haven't mastered many professions, but I've tried almost all of them at one time or another, and I really can't think of any that I strongly disliked. I'll add more if I think of anything else.

I haven't mastered many professions, and in fact I've only played just a few, but here are my perceptions:
Most fun melee: Fencer - What's not to love about standing in the middle of 5 rancors and not getting scratched?
Best melee: Swordsman - The damage output is sick.
Easiest crafting to master: Architect - Gungan statues, all day, every day
Least profitable crafting - Architect and tailor are more or less hosed here.
Least love: Smuggler - Face it, 97% of the profession is borked. My smuggler got really boring really fast.

Bio-Engineer?
I agree the grind sucks and the cloning part is frustrating as hell. But once you find good recipes, you essentially have products that are just worth your time (to sample the DNA) and a few units of meat/organics to assemble the pet. I made 5 mil last weekend out of thin air, no need for factories, harvester fleets, cash down, anything. I was down to 100K and had 5 mil 2 days later.
And since everyone is fleeing the BE prof, just walk around with your MBE tag in Theed on Bria, and you get pounded with tells from peeps for non-CH pets (which I have plenty of) and chefs who want schematics. Thing is, making chef bio-components is a pain and since most chefs are greedy and cheap as hell, most BE's stopped making them, not worth the trouble. So now the chefs worry about assembling all the resources themselves, pay for their own factories, and just buy schems. And since we do not want to kill our market, the few BEs that do it charge anywere from 100-200K per schem. I had a guy make me do 50 schems last night, I gave him a deal at 100K per, took me about 1 hour and I made 5 mil. Not too shabby.
Oh, and these poor sexy dancers just love it when you tip them a free pet of their liking. Sure, it's decorative because it's got 200 HAM and can't fight, but they like having it follow them around, do tricks and such.
I'm a veteran Master Bio-Engineer, and have been for over 10 months now, and even when my main becomes a jedi, I'll use the free slot to regrind MBE.
MBE, and proud of it... but I agree, not for the faint of heart... this prof, grinding or master, requires a LOOOOOOOOt of patience.

favorite prof so far : Master Swords. I just love smacking stuff in the head with a big hammer
most frustrating prof so far: Shipwright. its highly frustrating because as a beginer to craftingits very difficult to compete with people who use they're entire guilds lots for resources when they find one good spot. also imho SW is quite broken. simply because most loot is 10times better thanwhat SW can craft.
most boring grind : BH investigation. I got so bored and frustrated trying to do the investigation line that i gave up on BH
easiest to lvl : scout. just mask scent and ride around dath, dant or endor.

the melee profs are good for combat but i'm trying to find somthing that doesnt look as if the ithorian is having a fit so at the min i'm doing pikes and that looks cool with an ithorian and is fun.
as for crafting profs it think tailor is fun but not that profitable since you can use minus number condition clothes trying chef now ws was fun and money making if you can get into it and get buyer's

I like your thoughts. I have to say though....I have thought of many of the other professions and still don't have a taste for any of them--outside of the fact that I think I could do them better. Tehe.
I am building my Pistoleer/Ranger and am loving it. I have never had a dull moment, especially companioned with the additional Travel capabilities of JTL. I run missions for fellow guild memebers and other players. Definitely a "Ranger for hire." I think it's a keeper. If I do anything else it will be on another account.

Well I am a master sword and master doc right now and I love both. I dont spend any time crafting meds but I know I would enjoy it, and I love being able to solo in PvE and add nice support in PvP or with a group. As far as the most fun...Creature Handler is by far the most fun I have had in game. Coupled with scout or Ranger I just loved taming animals and sitting in camps, especially when we all used camps. I've enjoyed just about every prof I have played except for Armorsmith, just wasnt my cup of tea. I thought Architect was the easiest grind in the game, with BH being the hardest. Never had a jedi, but I imagine that would be fun and probably the hardest grind in game.
As far as the worst profession for me, I would have to say Droid Engineer, although it might be my best too. The grind to DE was horrendous and playing when I did there wasnt any way to make money at it and very little diversity. I loved making droids, but it was the only profession I just got sick of and dropped all in one fell swoop.
