What I do which is the same as this guide is to type out my whole message just how I want it, including the words that I want to be the hyperlink (or clicky if you insist) and then click on the Edit As HTML link. Then click in front of the word(s) that you want to be the link and insert <a href="http://www.yourwebaddresshere.com">and then after the word(s) just put </a> and click Submit.

One important thing to note is that if you edit your message you have to redo your link.

Also, if you want to color or change the font of the link it's easier to do it before you go into the HTML editor.

A quick explantion of some HTML code basics:

The < indicates to the web browser that there is some HTML code following and the >encloses the rest of the code.The HTML codes are referred to as tags. A forward slash (/) before anytag indicates the end of that function. So</a> is the code that tells the browser that the <a>function is over. Andcodeslike <b>Bold</b> work the same way. (the b stands for bold - i for italic - u for underline) So if you want something bold you just type <b>Stuff you want to be bold</b>. Of course this is all in the Edit As HTML screen.With the regular graphical forum editor you can simply highlight the words you want to be bold and click the B up at the top of the graphical editor (or theI or the u). But I just wanted to point out how some of the code works.

And to quote the person you are replying to just click the little speech bubble button next to the smiley face button. Most people put the quote at the beginning of their post.

Next, I click "edit as HTML" then you should see "Link to Yahoo" surrounded by stuff and stuff.. ignore it.. Also, all that text gibberish crap should be in a large white box. As a matter of fact, if you're using firefox I believe you should automatically have the white box to post in..

You must substitute all ( )'s to < >

Also, make sure your link has http:// in it.........and make sure your link has quotation marks in it.

Last think you're missing, is when you type the whole link like you did, it MUST be in the white box under "Edit as HTML"...if you're using firefox I believe its already a white box.
