Thread: Newb Badges (Now Fixed)
Just got the 2nd badge before the server went down.
(Is is me or is there a lack of developers posting about server restarts lately?)
Anywho, just the badge about harvestors on Tusken sacred ground, and the
key to Mos Eisley to go. I still have Artisan and Brawler to do from the mayor
so I guess we'll see how it goes.
Got some interesting info while on the entertainer quests. Something about
there being 2 people sticking their noses in. I guess I'd be the 1st, but who
is the second? Hmm 
have received the final 2 badges. I discovered the harvestorswhich seem to relate to the
badge listed etc.

Just finished the rest of the newb tutorial quests. The story definately suggests I should
have received the final 2 badges (key to Mos Eisley & Harvestors on Tusken Sacred Land).

I'd say I'm 99% sure that these 2 badges are bugged
Guess it's time to /bug some more /sigh.

Thank you for posting this, as this is the closest I've found searching for answers about this.
Yes, I'm a new player and I did the Artisan, Brawler, Entertainer, Marksman, and Scout quests. In fact I did every quest they had for the skills I was a novice in except Medic, which there doesn't seem to be one.
I talked to the Mayor when it was time, and I got two badges. I also talked to him and I know about Jabba's plot. I didn't get those two badges either (way at the bottom of a rather impressive list I might add!).
Eventually the Mayor sent me to see an NPC in Bestine, and I did the quests there including defeating a Bandit Leader at Level 18. The NPC thanked me and that was it. I tried to talk to the Mayor again, and he sent me back to the same NPC in Bestine, who thanked me and nothing else.
While I'm sure the badges not being awarded will be fixed at some point, did I miss something in the other quests? My journal is empty except for space quests now.

Bestine. Nothing else to do. Guess we just go abouton our normal business til it gets
fixed hehe. Hopefully we'll get the badges automatically, or at least get them by just talking
to the mayor again

I've crafted the survey tools and gone back to talk to me and it said mission completed then he says come back to talk to him later and he just goes through the same conversation again. I have a feeling you get the third newbie quest after you've done all 6 newbie quests including medic, however the mayor doesn't list medic in his conversation, so maybe you can just go and talk to a medic npc and do a mission for them in the hospital (I haven't been in there to check if there is one)
But any help on the Artisan quest please would be helpful.
I also had the same thing with the Artisan tutorial. Gave him all the tools, he says
come back later and speak again, but he never has anything new to say. Your
comment on the Medic is a good idea, I will try this tomorrow.
Also, when doing the Entertainer tutorial, at the end, the woman says something
about an entertainer password or something... if someone asks 'What is your
passion?', you should respond with 'Music is my life'. But I haven't seen anywhere
to actually utilize this yet.
The plot thickens hehe.
Just tried talking to the Artisan quest guy again, still getting the same responses.
Also took Nov Medic from the trainer outside Mos Eisley med centre and tried
talking to the NPC in there but had no joy.
Out of ideas now. Guess we just wait for a fix or someone to find something
we missed

And one for the Acklay too! I'm going to try Elders later tonight, and eventually try to catch Axkva Min. I'm curious about the DWB Overlord also. Any other ideas on what high level mobs might give badges? I'm skeptical about a Sentinal, since they aren't meant to be killed.
