Thread: I didn't grind under the old system. Why am I not in the same group as the grinders!?

What it is about, very simply, is that hologrinding was the system in place to achieve Jedi. At one time, those that didn't hologrind made the decision to not hologrind knowing full well it would *not* lead to Jedi. For whatever reason -- you felt the system was horked, you didn't like the holo professions you were given -- it doesn't matter. You chose not to hologrind, period. Now, you want credit like those who did choose hologrinding. You don't see a problem with that line of reasoning?
If that's the way you're going to look at it, keep in mind that it's no longer the way it's done. The new system is quest-based, as people wanted it to be; and it's a system where it takes more than just mastering random professions. So you'll just have to accept that some of us who didn't do holos are now on even ground with you - because we were doing the things that turn out to be important now.
What it boils down to is you want the reward for a system that you didn't participate in, and that's simply not how things work.
I don't recall saying that I want to become Jedi anywhere. I simply made note that there's more to the game than grinding profs, and now people are being rewarded for experiencing a large portion of what the game has to offer - which is more than simply grinding profs.
And I'm not talking about the people who unlocked after Publish 9 - they clearly deserve to go to the front of the line. I'm talking about those who didn't unlock, and expect to be rewarded for "almost" doing it. That's simply not how things work. ![]()

Did all that plus 32 professions - 103 badges total (only missing 5 corvette and 3 racetrack) - and had a blast doing it
Well then, you have nothing to complain about... right?
Hero of Tatooine isn't really all that hard - just takes time and patience, kind of like a...hologrinder!!! Although I bet you were skipping and dancing through the desert looking for a Moisture Farmer and praising the Devs for their immense foresight in providing all this rich content for you.
Actually, I felt that the Hero Quests were probably the most worthwhile thing I've seen added to this game in a long time. I did them in my own time and I did them because I wanted to, not because some little blue box told me I must.
Actually, the moisture farmer was the only one that was at all difficult for me to find - when I began the quests I set out to find him and found the Pirates instead. The boar was right where I expected to find it, I found the Bounty Hunter one evening coming back to Taike after looking for the Farmer (but I answered incorrectly, decided to head back to Entha for the night,m and found him there when I arrived). I finally found the Farmer right after getting my Warren badges - decided I'd go to Tatooine and search until my buff wore off. Found him and completed the quest with 5 minutes left on my buff.
No, it's nothing like hologrinding, sorry. Hologrinding is not the path of patience, it is the path of instant gratification - the path of disposing everything for the sole purpose of getting to the end. And I don't recall ever feeling miserable searching for the Farmer - I'd put in as much time as I wanted, and then I'd go do something else. I don't think hologrinders understand that, and despite your claim of "having a blast" doing all that, your statement above makes it clear that you really don't understand how to take each thing in its own time.
