I found them about 500m SE of Anchorhead.
Can't remember exact co-ords.
Hope this helps.

Yeah it is not that hard to bring it down to two smugglers, but after that it is a game of chance.
I don't like walkthroughs or help with anything in the game. Was just wondering what others did.

Haha, I've been searching for the pirates for months now. I saw them 3 times in 2 days BEFORE I started the hermit quest. At that time they were actually only about 300 - 400 m to the west of Anchorhead.

Does anyone happen to know what the answer is of the bounty hunter quest? I.e. the one in Espa where you have to question a few smugglers to find out who the target is?
The one that tries to blame others is the mark
That answer can be kind of vague, given the way the smugglers respond. Try this link to Allakhazam's guide to the quest, it helped me choose the right one.

Somehow this always bothers me... I guess you are also amongst the people that complain about the lack of content... Instead of following these damn walkthroughs, try actually DOING the quest. FFS, it is the mark of intellect, not the mark of laziness. It is really easy if you just talk to all of them and figure out which one is lying. Just do some logic thinking.
Well pardon me for trying to help! This is what bothers me...when you try to help someone or just post something in general, someone always has to try to bring you down and bring themselves up. I don't attack your style of gameplay, and I would appreciate it if you didn't attack mine. You might notice I did not post the answers here, I posted a link where others could find the answer if they sought it. I wouldn't mind trying to use logic to solve the riddle if they made the spawns just a little easier to find and converse with. After two days of shuttle-hopping between the five cities to find a spawn while others were trying to do the same, I just didn't feel like leaving it up to chance.
