I'm betting that all plants are indeed "random".
Like the person above that posted said their plant grew to stage 2 in 2 days, i met someone tonight that their plant grew to stage 2 in about 4 days. My plant is about 6-7 days old? and is still small.
Another lady told me tonight she has 2 plants. She is using the same ingrediants and the same settings and one of her plants is wilting and the other is full of life.
Sooooo, not sure what help all this is, if in fact all plants are different

Well, our plant made it to large about 3 days ago, and haven't kept a log of what we've been doing - just feeding it any hide or meat or veggies any of our alts have on them at the moment. Has a big orange bananna/protea-like plume on it now.
Any word yet on just WHAT the fruit does?
Damn. I was upset that I did the combat prowress quest rather than this but now I don't. Caring for that plants seems like a 'grind' in itself!

I'll have to second what Whitus said: the 'in between' stage is as important a level as a stage that actually changes the status. If I give just enough water and nutrients to my plant to make it change to "wet"/"above normal", it is in excellent health. If I give it the extra shot of water/nutrients, so it still says "wet"/"above normal", it changes to wilting. This means that we don't have 10^2 variables to work with, but 20 ^2.
This may have something to do with the problem you had with your plant #1, dottie.

Yeah I think because my first plant had only changed recently to a Aurilian Plant it was settling in and I was trying to find what it likes.
I do something called a "top up" which is check the plant 1st if any of the water/nutrients have dropped below what it was before I's +2 of it. Example - check plant was normal water level - come back check again it says below normal id give it 1 shot to see if it was normal again and then 1 more shot to make it normal +1.
So yeah i agree that each plant is different and each level has 2 parts 2 it. So there can be a lot of fine tuning. I have decided growth however slow is better than nothing and makes the plant more stable, especially if its not in a great condition you want to get it strong 1st before you play with the settings.

Becoming worried, it's been one full day after my plant grew to medium size and it's Growth Rate is still Wilting.
Condition prior to growing.....
Heatlh: Perfect Condition
Growth Rate: Normal
Water: Below Normal <--- Kept it like this entire Small stage
Nutrients: Low <--- Kept it like this entire Small stage
After growing.....
Heatlh: Full of Life
Growth Rate: Wilting
Water: Dry
Nutrients: Miniscule
Then for this first day, I set it to the following and its condition is the same...
Heatlh: Full of Life
Growth Rate: Wilting
Water: Normal <--- I figured since it grew it'd need more water than it used to like
Nutrients: Below Norma l<--- I figured since it grew it'd need more nutrients than it used to like
I'm trying this setup for today (back to my original treatment).....
Heatlh: Full of Life
Growth Rate: Wilting
Water: Below Normal
Nutrients: Low
Has anyone noticed a trend in the water/nutrients it likes after growing to medium size? Any advice would be appreciated

It took me over 2 days to stabalize my plant after it grew. The levels you need do seem pretty random, so just keep trying different things out but only make minor adjustments each time. Mine settled at Water: moist, nutrients: low for a slow growth rate. When the water and nutrients drop a level (like overnight) it goes to very slow growth.

I got my plant 2 weeks ago. Up till Monday it was Perfect/Slow/Normal/Normal. Then it hit the Large Plant status, and the growth rate changed to Wilting. Now it's down to Excellent/Wilting/Below Normal/Normal.
As someone above said, I'd like to get it to stabilize, but not sure how.

Upgraded to a medium today and growth rate is wilting.... gah! I've pretty much had it like water: below normal and nutrients: low the entire time.
After the upgrade, health and GR dropped a level so I increased water back to below normal and nutrients back to low.
There wasn't a change for 12 hours so I further increased water to normal and nutrients to below normal.
I hope this works.... I'd be lonely without my plant ![]()

After what Mschf and I talked yesterday about the DR of the materials used on the plant.... I tried using something with a low DR to test the results....
After9 days of high OQ, high PE, high DR....
Health: Excellent
Growth: Very Slow
Water: Below Normal
Nutrients: Normal
After 1 day of High OQ, high PE, low DR.....
(Last night)
Health: Vibrant and Colorful
Growth: Below normal
Just logged on:
Health: Full of Life
Growth: Below Normal
The only thing I changed from the first 8 days was the nutrient.... the DR went from 692 to 149.....
Not saying this is the end all of strategys... but it seems to match what other people have said.... even the ones who said they just threw whatever into the pot......
I'll update in a few minutes... when my plant updates.....

Well, the oats I have been using all along are OQ990, PE500something, DR209, and I can't get past excellent/very slow, after days of keeping my small plant at the best levels I've found.
What are the stats on your water, Bearber? Maybe that's affecting my plant - I'm using OQhigh800something, DR915...
Also, you sure you have your plant at the same half-step level it was at before? I am going to start writing it as
normal
normal+
above normal
above normal+
etc.

My water is OQ 834.. DR 484.. I'm only updating one dose..... to go from dry+ to below normal... and low+ to normal..... anyway I stop as soon as I get to that new level.....
What you said about the levels is true.... I know before I've adjusted my nutrients to above normal and still got a little growth.... but when I put it above normal+ it started wilting.....
Still no update in the last hour... .but hopefully perfecthealth tonight..... and I'm pretty sure that's the key to advancing to the next stage.......
