I got Glowy last night using this method. I had everything needed in the guide except for Jedi Ruins on Dant and 2 content badges. I was faint when I started.

So I shot off to Dant to get the badge for the Ruins, Instantly I then surged in the force.

I didnt have the Warren badges so that was my next pit stop. Off I went to the Warren. I must thank a small group of 4 that halped each other around the maze of corridors and rooms in that place. Big Thanks goes to Aforo who travelled all the way back to the Warren with me after I missed one piece of Evidence.

So to get Glowy I had the following.

Professions - Master CH, Master Pistoleer
POI - more than enough easy ones and enough hard ones, Sarlacc, Tusken Pool, etc
3 Jedi POI's
Content badges - Jabbas, Nyms, Rebel Themepark and the 2 x Warren badges.

Hence all of those I now glow, time to go and put a tent up in some woodland somewhere and sit around.

I have no master badges. Just stick to the POI's and Content, cause think about it mastering professions was the old system.

Anyone else out there get to glowy with nothing mastered?..On that note..anyone get to glowy with a basic Master but no Elite? I ask because one of my friends had all badges done and was surging. However she did not have any professions mastered so she is working on at least a basic to see if that does it. Also she decided to help the community by mastering the basic then/checking...if that doesnt doit she will drop one bubble of the basic and go for one of the elites. We are trying to figure out FOR SURE if ANY Master will do or if it has to be Elite.

I myself have only the Imp Themepark to complete(which I'm about to log on and do). By this guide I should be glowy when I finish it so I will post when I finish.

Master Entertainer (starting prof)

Master ID

Master Artisan

Master Medic (holo)

Completed Jabba and IMP theme parks before pub 9

Took a break from SWG for about 3-4 weeks before Pub 10

Came back last week, read this guide checked my force status "You have a feint sense of the force"(I had no badges except the above prof and theme parks badges) so I thought "cool" ill grab the badges and get glowy so i can get my visit from the old man.

So I now have 44-45 POI Badges + exploration badges (decided to get em all)

I now Have:

Reb theme park

Imp Theme park

Jabba theme park

Nym's theme park

2 Warren Badges

Dead eye part 1

(havent gotten corvette! and to be honest I doubt I will be, the above is way more than some people of had to do)

and yetI'm still on "You have a feint sense of the force" I havent moved at all

I have 3 accounts with SWG (SOE) and 1 of my toons who has only mastered 3 profs is the same force rank as my Holo grind characterwho has more badgesand content

This was gonna be my last shot at SWG as I was staring to get a little bored, and although it was fun flying from planet to planet doing POI's and switching faction to do the Reb theme park etc, I honestly think that its may be time for me to cancel my accounts, Grinding Holo's obviously didnt give me any credit towards Glowy, and getting every POI and nearly every theme park badge has made stuff all difference.

so besides finding a group to tag along with to the corvette, is there anything elseI can do? have I missed something?

I was gone for along time too so forgive the question..but do you actually have the badges for the professions you had mastered before pub8?

I'll add my followup here to...

I did infact turn glowy after Imp Theme park tonight.

The toon I used had 2 Profession badges(yes only 2)Entertainer and Dancer.

Instead of giving a quantity I will just say that the PoI's I got(and I'm talking the PoI's you get by driving over them) were: Naboo-ALL, Tatooine-all but tusken pool, Corelia-ALL, Dantooine-ALL, Lok-ALL, Yavin-ALL, Dathomir-All but escape pod(darn nightsisters!!).

Theed Librarian-moe than a drive-by PoI but too easy not to do

Content badges-Nym's, Jabba's, Warren(x2), and ImpTheme

Kill Valorians (spell?). On a side note...if you ever want to find out what you have to kill to raise your faction points with X faction...just go X faction. Whatever points you gain as a result of killing the faction you want to increase is likely the same group you have to go kill.
