While I, too, don't care for the overwhelming advantages of the melee groups in the game vs. ranged weapons (in PvP, if not PvE), the vibroblade and "force pike" appear prominently in many many of the Star Wars novels. So the precedent of melee weapons in the Star Wars universe is consistent with the literature.
Love the new weapons. I'm particularly please to see more projectile weapons for my WS to make. Waiting to see what commandos will get.

Muy Excellente! However, I am deeply saddened by the lack of polearms....sure, we got the NS energy lance, but it's not too incredibly useful, except in specific PvE situations, and besides swordsmen got the scythe blade, and that crazy-lookin' axe, plus now they get a sith sword, and whichever other swords were 2-hand......*sighs* ....sometimes it's painful for us pikemen, I suppose. Blaster fist looks fun though!

I would assume the blaster fist is the new weapon for ua combat......what types of damage will it do?

Ok, anoher silly question.
In the discription of the RSF Sword (which looks cool anyway), it states that it is most commonly worn my Rebel Alliance. RSF is not Alliance aligned, it is Imperial aligned. Did anyone notice this?
